6. Man With A Plan, Gary Baum “The V-Word”The number of nominees being determined by the number of submission definitely hurts the most the category for Half-Hour Cinematography. It’s the category that always had inspired choices. What We Do In The Shadows, Homecoming, Insecure, Mozart in the Jungle, GLOW, The End of the F***ing World and Divorce are some of the shows nominated in the past three years.
One-Hour Cinematography is packed with great submissions. Here’s hoping we’ll see more inspiring choices.

I don’t think “Liars” is ahead of “Household” for cinematography. I think the latter is way more likely than the former. Just the final shots alone should guarantee a nomination.

I think Ozark is easily ahead of Westworld, Stranger Things and maybe even Legion.

10. Normal People: Suzie Lavelle, “Episode 5”July 6, 2020 at 12:27 am #1203569824I get that Zoe White was nominated last year for THT, but I would say that “Household” edges out “Liars” with that final scene.
7. Euphoria: Adam Newport-Berra, “And Salt the Earth Behind You”
Euphoria is also submitting “Shook Ones Pt. II,” which would surely be the episode that’s nominated. It’s the one everyone talks about.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 6, 2020 at 1:07 am #1203569827Okay, changed the Euphoria episode. I am not entirely sure that “Household” advances past the popular vote. It is a crowded category—did not even list stuff like Westworld—and I would think that Zoë White would have a better chance of being a semifinalist on name alone.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 7, 2020 at 7:22 pm #1203573118Right now I have Euphoria down for nine nominations. That’s a gamble considering it’s genre, but those techs are no joke and they deserve.

Yeah, this is so walking away with those five Emmys.
