Nathan Lane had BETTER be nominated for Guest Actor in a Comedy series next year!October 24, 2017 at 8:36 am #1202246874
Although there are definitely funny moments still, I feel like the show is often regurgitating old situations/gags for each of the characters. Its inevitable to an extent, but definitely makes it more of a background watch for me these days.October 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm #1202248066
Tonight is MF Halloween episode. I normally like their holiday episodes, so I’m looking forward to it.October 25, 2017 at 7:01 pm #1202248234
Not my favorite Halloween episode, but I still enjoyed it. Mitchell trying to put the tool belt on and all the tools falling out was funny. Especially when he said all the tools were laid out. Joe continues to get good lines. I loved his line about having to eat a Luna bar that’s for women. I enjoyed the office scenes, too. Haileys audition was funny, too.October 25, 2017 at 7:48 pm #1202248257
Nathan Lane was hilarious in last week’s episode and deserves to be nominated for Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. If only, we can get the SNL actors out of this category.October 26, 2017 at 5:40 am #1202248559
Did not like the episode last night at all. Only part I liked was the Joe one liners. My grade: COctober 26, 2017 at 11:57 am #1202248883
Alex telling off Ben was the best scene Ariel Winter has had in a while. Mitchell firing Jay was also great, as was Gloria throwing Cam out of her house. (Lots of pent-up aggression released in this episode.) Overall, it was a decent Halloween episode but below those from the first few seasons. The kitchen burning down again was hilarious in concept, though they whiffed a little on execution.November 10, 2017 at 7:29 am #1202407180
I walked around last night looking for something. Not sure what it was, but something was missing. Then it hit me, I was looking for the old Modern Family. Folks, call it a day while you can. These current episodes seem thrown together with actors that are thinking about what they are going to do next.November 15, 2017 at 10:54 am #1202411288
“Ten Years Later” was a meh episode for me. Probably why I forgot to post anything two weeks ago when it aired. Tonight’s episode is their Thanksgiving episode.November 15, 2017 at 6:35 pm #1202411966
“Winner, Winner, Turkey Dinner”, was a good episode. The Joe stuff was the best. I also enjoyed how all the stories wrapped up at the end. I also laughed when Jay was talking to Joe in the laundry room and Phil popped out from the washer.November 16, 2017 at 4:37 am #1202412249
Awesome episode. My grade: A+November 29, 2017 at 6:43 pm #1202425111
“Brushes with Celebrities ” is one of my favorite episodes of the season. I loved all the stories. At the beginning when they were talking about seeing/meeting famous people and Joe replied Santa Claus, I laughed out loud. I liked the Jay/Terry Bradshaw scenes the best. Especially when Jay’s voice was higher. I also liked the Phil/Chris Martin scenes, especially at the hospital.
This could be an emmy episode for Ed O’Neil and for directing.
