    Great great show.
Loved Dev Patel and Anne Hathaway’s episodes.
First half of the show is clearly superior to the rest, but it’s way better that I expected.

Can people share their opinions on which category the show should be submitted to Emmys? I feel like it’s the best to submit the show as a drama series and submit performances as guest actor/actress. They can’t submit single episodes as tv movie since it’s shorter than 75 mins.

I really loved this. It was a simple show about different types of love. Every duo had great chemistry and acting. I agree with y’all but no one’s mentioned Julia Garner and Shea Whigham. I found both of their performances and their chemistry very good. It should go drama and the actors should go guest. Anne would definitely get a nod if pushed. This show makes it sadder that there’s no SAG ensemble category for miniseries if it was to be submitted as such there.

Isn’t the situation similar to Kumail Nanjiani’s guest actor nomination this past year for The Twilight Zone, and could therefore follow this precedent accordingly?

The table scene at family dinner during Tina Fey’s and John Slattery’s episode had me stitches.

This year’s The Twilight Zone was acknowledged as a drama series because Television Academy argued that it is the new season of the original which had been competing in drama. This show doesn’t face the same problem, so I believe Amazon will submit it as a limited series. That being said, in order to receive no-brainer guest acting nominations they should submit it as a comedy.

I get that nomination “fraud” that you are defending, since this is a clearly an anthology … therefore it’s a limited series, and I think it should be put in that category.

It’s like Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve movies

I’m now onto the Julia Garner and my entire thought is how this series screams “would’ve a theatrical feature film 5-10 years ago but is a TV series now because Amazon is the only company that gave us a budget”

Also loving daddy Shea Whigham. I like this series. Naturally given its anthology I prefer some episodes to others, but they’re all watchable and feel-good (thus far- I’m on episode 6).

limited series is an outdated category. This should go comedy (or drama). Alexander, Patel, Keener, Hathaway, Fey, Garner, and Milioti would all be warranted nominees, in that order.

I’m through 5 episodes of this and I love it! I was a little skeptical going in because I thought it would be too corny/sappy and emotionally manipulative (a little bit like This Is Us), but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The writings really well done. It’s very authentic, I feel like I’m seeing relationships on screen I’ve personally seen in real life.

So far the standouts episodes for me are 2, 4 and 5, but everyone’s doing really great work. Keener was brilliant in episode 2, talk about someone that’s able to make you fully empathize with them in such a small amount of screen time. I loved her interlining storyline with Patel. Hathaway was freaking devastating in episode 3. I wasn’t ready for that type of commitment in this type of show. That episode started off a little weird for me, because the tone was so different from the first two, but in retrospect it makes sense as the episode goes on. I absolutely loved the Fey/Slattery episode. I would watch a spin off show of those two navigating their marriage from the start of it to where it ended off at the end of the episode. Fey was amazing, she’s really got some dramatic chops. I think she gives my favorite performance in the show so far. Slattery was also great, but he always is. And finally, episode 5 was good too! I’m really shocked by the consistent quality of these. John Gallagher Jr. is so charming and a genuinely good actor. I’d love to see him in more things. He also had really nice chemistry with Sofia Boutella.

Oh, I forgot about the first episode lol. Milioti is an underrated gift and deserves a lead role in her own show.

Hathaway’s performance destroyed me! One of the most uncanny portrayals of bipolar disorder I’ve seen in a while, that scene towards the end in the restaurant was so accurate it made a lump in my throat. Was not expecting that, she needs to get in at the Emmys next year.
