Since there’s all this talk about Roseanne Barr’s Twitter misconduct going on right now, might as well discuss a similar topic.

What do you find to be the most offensive moments in popular TV shows?

The Family Guy episode “Brian’s a Bad Father” is probably one of the WORST cartoon episodes to EVER air on TV.

Why do I say that? Because Peter first breaks the fourth wall and implies that the audience is supposed to be teenagers, and then, just a few scenes later IN THE SAME EPISODE, tries to figure out the “right way” to commit suicide by cutting.

Do I need to explain this one any further?

I can’t speak for others, but for me the rape itself wasn’t offensive. I was more offended by the writers thinking more torture of Sansa was interesting to watch. She had been sh*tted and used by everyone since season 2. Now, you top it off with a rape. It felt cheap and redundant. Also, having the focal point of the rape itself be more about Reek and him “snapping out” of his delusion was indeed legit offensive. Overall, it was more disappointing to me than offensive.
