I still am being cautious about her winning the Globe even though I think she’s winning the Emmy.

Do you think she’s winning the Emmy or not? Lol You said King just a few days ago.

As I said in the post and in several posts since I finished watching the show I think Haas is winning. As you can see in the quote you’ve taken from my post I have said “I still am being cautious about her winning the Globe even though I think she’s winning the Emmy”. I would have thought the fact I said “even though I think she’s winning the Emmy” would signify that I think Haas is winning the Emmy. Also I hadn’t seen Unorthodox a few days ago.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

Just seen Unorthodox episode 2. I still stand by my argument that if voters see Unorthodox there is no way they don’t check Shira off for the win (like with Jharrel Jerome and Jodie Comer last year).

Do you think 8 nominations for a show like (international, no big names, initial zero marketing) Unorthodox is not a result of voters having seen the show?

Does anyone here know if any movie or tv show in a foreign language has ever been nominated for an Emmy other than Unorthodox?

Watchmen is going to win at least one Emmy for acting and King seems like the most likely.

Yes I think enough of the actors branch saw the show to check off Shira Haas. What I was saying is that if voters see Haas’s performance there is no way they don’t check her off for the win. I wasn’t saying Haas is hurt by visibility in fact I was saying that visibility seems to be one of her strengths.

I actually think Jean Smart is the most likely of the Watchmen nominees. Specially when we take her competition into account.

FYC Emmys: Helena Bonham Carter (Drama Supporting Actress), Olivia Colman (Drama Actress), Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh (Drama Actress), Fiona Shaw (Drama Supporting Actress), Zendaya (Drama Actress), Alexis Bledel (Drama Guest Actress)

I definitely don’t think Unorthodox is in last place for writing as shown in the odds. Also, while I do think Regina King will ultimately win for Actress, I think Shira Haas will be the one to upset, not Cate Blanchett. I don’t even consider Cate Blanchett a threat to King anymore.

I disagree. It’s very clear that Unbelievable is last considering how much it under-performed across the board.

I said I DON’T think Unorthodox is last.

I’m surprised people have Uzo Aduba so low. She’s literally won 2 out of 3 of her Emmy nomimations and unlike Ullman and Martindale she has a narrative in this category and is greatly helped by the fact that she’s playing Shirley Chisholm who has been given more of a focus as a result of Kamala Harris’s nomination. She’s at least second and ahead of Collette, Taylor, Ullman and Martindale.

The problem with predicting Aduba is that her performance wasn’t all that acclaimed (not more so than Smart, Collette, and Ullman), her role’s not very big, and her show underperformed.

Well Byrne and Paulson are not even nominated, so do the voters even care?

But if voters saw only the first half of Mrs. America (which many on here have suspected they did) then they will see Aduba’s showcase episode and not see her depart in content.

Collette’s show also underperformed so I don’t see how she’s higher than anyone in that category.

Collette underperformed, but she’s by far the biggest role in this category and one of the most acclaimed alongside Smart.
