It would be an absolutely incredible, unprecedented moment if at the 2019 Emmy Awards, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Candice Bergen and Helen Hunt (rumored Mad About You revival) all contend for Lead Actress Comedy in their record-breaking roles!

If it works, awesome. Anything to keep Kristen Bell away from the Emmys.January 24, 2018 at 4:10 pm #1202477696

Wild! Crazy that the Big 3 have their classics coming back. Now that Living Single reboot needs to happen at FOX, so we can truly be living in a 90s kind of world.January 24, 2018 at 5:50 pm #1202477753

Er, Fox has a “hit ’90s show” on the air already – The Simpsons.
As for Murphy Brown, I just hope they don’t retcon her son Avery out of existence. Another problem: it’s just not Murphy Brown without Eldin.January 24, 2018 at 6:14 pm #1202477767
Yes, all those are true, but what is also true is nan of y’all have seen an episode of Living Single (or listened to the theme song), so what I said went over your heads.January 24, 2018 at 9:06 pm #1202477906
Noooooo!January 25, 2018 at 12:26 am #1202478015
I hope it works. So much potential for satire of media. Can see Brown being a Williams or Colbert figure.January 25, 2018 at 6:04 am #1202478159
LOVE IT! I wonder how the son will play into all of this. Mom and son working together? More importantly….will she keep firing secretaries.January 25, 2018 at 7:32 am #1202478257
The question is, will Candice Bergen submit herself for Emmy consideration? Keep in mind, toward the end of Murphy Brown‘s run, Bergen withdrew her name from the ballot. (Much like Roseanne disqualified itself after Season 7.) I imagine she’ll want to be back in the running but you never know.
