How original.May 29, 2013 at 11:17 am #277648
Ugh…this guy is so annoying and so full of himself. Great actor, great on his show, but somewhere along the line he became very obnoxious. It’ll be the typical “look at me! I can sing! I can dance! people call be by my initials because I’m so cool! I’m NPH”. He does the same thing every time.
And to let him do this three or four months after hosting the Tonys? I know he’s just a performer, not a writer, he won’t be tired or out of material, and not necessarily the same people will watch both shows, but common…there were really no other options?May 29, 2013 at 11:39 am #277649
Perhaps he could have his own version of the EGOT by hosting all four awards shows in the same year?May 29, 2013 at 11:39 am #277650
He’s doing this right after the Tonys? And on the same network? That’s not good. Not when they had options like Craig Ferguson or their real ace in the hole, Melissa McCarthy. You don’t want to be thought of as a professional awards show host. Oh well, whatever. I expect that NPH will be better at the Tonys than this.May 29, 2013 at 11:43 am #277651
Didn’t think of McCarthy. She probably didn’t want to do it, but that would’ve been a great choice. Not to mention the kinds of friends she has, she could’ve played to amazing results with people like Fey, Poehler and others during the show.May 29, 2013 at 12:00 pm #277652
CBS does not exactly have a wealth of in-house talent suitable for this job. But it’s CBS so what did we expect? I bet NPH was their first choice.Riley (the normal one, not the one who won the predictions contest)ParticipantMay 29, 2013 at 12:22 pm #277653

Poor Craig Ferguson. Yeah, Melissa McCarthy would have been another good pick.May 29, 2013 at 12:22 pm #277654
I wanted McCarthy for the entertainment value but it would have unfairly boosted her into a nomination into lead comedy actress which she doesn’t deserve. At least this way that’s not happening. But woooo NPH!May 29, 2013 at 1:14 pm #277655
Boo, hiss. Craig Ferguson deserved to host it, and let him bring along Geoff the Robot to mercilessly skewer some of the nominees that may not have deserved to make it. It’s bad enough the Emmys have SOSO’s in their nominations list, now it’s spread to the host.May 29, 2013 at 3:12 pm #277656
What about Charlie Sheen ??? Ha HA HaMay 29, 2013 at 3:20 pm #277657
Awful choice.May 29, 2013 at 3:21 pm #277658
Blah, Craig Ferguson would’ve been a great choice.
