Nicole clear off more space for those statues.

Yvonne Strahovski in Stateless is the only other actress I’ve seen give a performance this strong in the past 4 months.

Things escalated very quickly lol. So trashy and messy. This isn’t top-tier Kidman, but she’s indeed the best element of the limited series.

I don’t know about the series itself, but Kidman will definitely be remembered at the awards.

BLL benefited from having multiple main characters. Nicole Kidman is great but there are only so many scenes of her breaking down I can take in an episode. Not to mention, I find it hard to root for Grace as a character and don’t really give a flying fuck about any of the secondary ones.

This episode made me certain that it’s best to judge this show as a genre show. This show is for people who like to watch addictive, twisty mysteries. I don’t expect anything more from this show so that’s why I also liked the second episode as well. The only noticable performance is from Kidman and even that is not outstanding. I also found the directing irritating.

Lol the book is mainly about Grace . None of the supporting character had much to do in book. They have changed couple of things about Donald Sutherland character . Also husband disappears for awhile so we will see how show does that

    Yep.

I do wonder if they might change who did it.

I thought this episode was far far better than last weeks so surprised at the general reaction on here.

I sure hope it deviates from the book and the killer is someone else. Otherwise it’s kind of anticlimactic.

Well they’ve already deviated from the book quite a bit (Jonathan is in Grace’s flashbacks only) and apparently they do deviate from episode 3 onwards.

I know nothing about the book so my speculation is entirely from the show.

I called it last week that Elena and Jonathan were having an affair and that’s why she was so infatuated by Grace and that the baby was Jonathan’s.

I think with the focus that they’ve given so far to Noah Jupe, Henry is the killer because he found out about the affair and Elena’s intentions to ruin his family. As fine a reveal as it would be, I’d rather they just went full crazy and let Grace be the killer. I can picture her slamming the mallet off of Elena’s skull screaming “DO. I. UNNERVE. YOU. BITCH?!?!?”.

So far I’m loving it. I really appreciate the fog like hue that covers New York in the cinematography. I see it getting murkier and murkier as Grace comes undone. Nicole and Lily scenes are great, they better have more to do. The detectives are annoying me with their smug attitudes.
