She can’t even do stay in an American accent and she’s been living in America for many decades now. I wouldn’t get my hopes up about a completely different accent.
Oh I’m 100% certain her accent will be all over the place; she’s always struggled with accents. I’m just looking forward to seeing how dodgy it is. It could hurt her awards chances though if it’s truly awful!
That sounds boring af.
That’s because it is… and the ending is really obvious and has no real surprises at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep the characters and setting, but twist the story somewhat to make it a murder mystery.

Disclaimer: have not read the book but my friend, who is a very avid reader of anything by Lianne M, has and is convinced that this would be a great role for Woody Harrelson. How correct she is Idk. And for Ben and Jessica, she keeps saying Aaron Tveit and Amber Gray.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 9, 2020 at 11:03 pm #1203273302hmmm , only character that I dream cast while reading was Melissa McCarthy role. Which, I said before I had Ann Down in mind. Nicole Kidman character has an Asian male assistant. Forgot what country he was from There is a family , father, mother and daughter working thru an issue. A sports watcher slobbish guy “Jim Beluchi” typeish. the Instagram couple. The mystery is basically you don’t know why everyone is at resort.
I just finished the book yesterday, and there was also the character Carmel, who was the single mom that felt like her kids were dropping her for their skinny & smart (and I think young?) stepmother. I could see Julia Louis-Dreyfus taking on this role.

Woody Harrelson would be a good addition to this cast, but maybe as Lars, the divorce lawyer that comes to the retreat. When I was reading I saw Ben portrayed by Ravi Gavron, and haven’t thought of anyone for Jessica yet. Amber Gray is a good choice!

completely forgot about the single mother. Ha
there should make either the young couple or the family a minority cast.

her other Australian counterparts like Nicole Kidman, Toni Collette, and cate Blanchett are all doing television and succeeding. Naomi deserves it too and desperately. Her Netflix series Gypsy was a flipped she deserved another change

May 29, 2020 at 11:50 am #1203507674As much as I would love a Nicole n naomi pairing. The only two big female characters in book are Kidman/McCarthy role. Next up is the young social media married female.

I always figured that Kidman N Watts would do Liane Moriarty book “Truly, Madly Guilty” the two characters were perfect for them. But the story wasn’t that interesting.June 2, 2020 at 9:48 pm #1203513778Here is a list of characters (I will update as the cast is updated):
