We’re starting to receive official network submission lists for Emmys 2020. I will post the lists in this thread as we publish them on the home page.

Here is the first one from Showtime:

Still mad about On Becoming a God in Central Florida’s switch.

Maura Tierney’s going lead? I didn’t even think about that possibility, but it makes sense. And Beau Bridges really stands out on the guest actor submissions list, so I can easily see him getting in even if Homeland hardly gets any other attention for its final season.

Looks like Showtime kind of went nuts in that they just submitted absolutely everyone that they could. Pushing Alan Alda in supporting for two episodes as a guest star in Ray Donovan is among the more random upgrades that I have seen. I guess that F. Murray Abraham is not coming back for the Homeland finale.

Maura Tierney as Lead Actress for the final season of The Affair makes sense, but she would never stand a chance in either category anyway.

Malin Akerman will not return for this season of Billions, but Julianna Margulies will be Guest. Interesting.

So, F. Murray Abrahams will not appear in the final season of Homeland, but Amy Hargraves will (probably in the series finale).

Shame about Regina Hall going to Supporting for Black Monday, was hoping she could’ve been the “wtf, how did that happen” surprise in Lead Actress this year.

Alan Alda was in 6 episodes (half) of season 7 of Ray Donovan. Last year, he was in 2.

I need HBO submissions. I’m really curious about in which categories Westworld actors will be submitted.

I wish they frauded her into Supporting so she’d actually have a chance.

It would be ridiculous if Gwyneth Paltrow was frauded into Lead Actress for The Politician. To be honest I think she’d stand a better chance in Supporting (and she would be deserving of a win but that won’t happen)

FYC Emmys : THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, SUCCESSION AND THE CROWN IN ALL CATEGORIES. Tony Shalhoub ("Maisel"), Cate Blanchett ("Mrs. America"), Matthew Macfadyen, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook ("Succession"), Tracey Ullman ("Mrs. America") and Louis Gossett Jr. ("Watchmen")

We will have the full list of Netflix submissions soon. In the meantime, we can confirm some changes:

Black Mirror: Smithereens will be a TV movie.

Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings: These Old Bones will be a TV movie (with Ginnifer Goodwin and Kathleen Turner added).

Sex Education is now a comedy.

    YES!

The FYC website suggests that Sex Education will not be a priority, but I can imagine that the series’ chances of getting nominations are much bigger in Comedy. Maybe Writing.
