    Best finales:
    1-The Winds of Winters
    2-Fire & Blood
    3-Mother’s Mercy
    4-The Children
    5-Mysha
    6-Valar Morghoulis

The Oscar needs to get rid of the preferential ballot so it can name a deserving movie as Best Picture again.

It was a good and thrilling finale. Served too many masters (no pun intended), and maybe the extended runtime wasn’t entirely warranted in this case. Queen Cersei, First of Her Name, was everything. Kinda wanted more of a reaction to Tommen’s suicide, but other than that, holy shit!!! The badass female moments were indeed fan-servicey, but I didn’t mind that too much. Daenerys making her big move was excellent. Great scene between Clarke and Dinklage there. Arya’s scene I’m more conflicted about. Sad to see Melisandre go. I’m getting an uneasy feeling about Sansa and Littlefinger. I’m also trying to wrap my head around Jon Snow’s parentage. The confirmation scene worked out well. That child ruler girl, yes! Really all Bran is good for is the flashbacks now? I’ll have to think about its Emmy prospects more. I hope voters give it some real thought and not just blindly vote for it everywhere they can vote for it, particularly with their awful submissions this year.

I didn’t think they would be able to top last week. And yet….

This season was amazing. Getting ahead of the books was the best thing to happen to this show. As well as hiring Miguel Sapochnik.

I expect close to a full repeat of last year’s Emmys. And it deserves it.

Easily the finest season of the show and this episode was a knockout! And to think I have to wait ten months for the next season!

This season is in my opinion better than season five, there were some issues that has more to do with the rushed pace of some episodes like “Oathbreaker” and some directing and writing choices in “No One”. The efforts to make the bland and insipid Sansa into some kind of interest and bad ass Dark Lady had mixed results, but all in all this was a really good season and I only put The Leftover over Game of Thrones as the best of the year with a very close third place for Bate’s Motel.

    Favorite Episodes of the season:
    1-The Winds Of Winter
    2-Battle of the Bastards
    3-The Door
    4-The Book of Stranger
    5-Home

    Top Seasons:
    1-SE-4
    2-SE-3
    3-SE-1
    4-SE-6
    5-SE-5
    6-SE-2

    TOP-10 EPISODE OF THE SERIES:

    10-The Lion & The Rose, S-4, E-2
    09-The Watchers Of The Wall, S-4, E-9
    08-Blackwater, S-2, E-9
    07-The Door, S-6, E-5
06-And Now His Watch Is Ended, S-3, E-4
    05-The Rains Of Castemere, S-3, E-9
    04-The Battle Of The Bastards, S-6, E-9
    03-Fire & Blood, S-1, E-10
    02-The Winds Of Winter, S-6, E-10
    01-Hardhome, S-5, E-8

Wow, people are crazy about this episode. It has a season-high 9.6 on Rotten Tomatoes on 10.0 on IMDb. Eager to see the annual screen time breakdown.

It was a great episode. Though two episodes doth not warrant a Drama Series Emmy win.

Loved the Cersei stuff. Hope to see much more of her next season because she’s been relatively MIA this year apart from the finale. The Mad Queen is here. And long may she reign.

The Arya scene was just pure brilliance.

The Daenarys and Tyrrion scene worked so beautifully, which was a great pace slower in the middle.

The Jon stuff was interesting, but more just a ‘yeah he’s popular’ scene rather than adding anything of substance.

Littlefinger is the new big baddie of the show, no? Well, him and/or Cersei.

It feels like there can only be one season left. Arya needs to meet The Hound, then return to Winterfell. Dany and co need to get to Westeros, where she kills Cersei and takes the Iron Throne. Dany then teams up with John Snow, who kill the White Walkers together, and everyone finds out John is really related to Dany and Tyrrion.

That can be done in one season full of brilliance. Especially if you add in some scenes of Littlefinger deceiving; stuff in Dorne with Olenna; Arya going through her list til she ends up back with her family, then you have a full season of outstanding content. I can’t see how it goes on for longer without being dragged.

It was a great episode. Though two episodes doth not warrant a Drama Series Emmy win.

Tell that to Season 5 lol

Game of thrones last year won with a much weaker and more controversial season. It even got its worst reviewed episode Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken nominated for an Emmy. The fact is season 6 is much stronger and it has way more than just to 2 great episodes

    Going by the reviews

    1. Home

    2. The Door

    3. Book of the Stranger

    4. Oathbreaker

At this point Game of thrones is heading into the Emmy race with a more popular season than it did last year.

He’s a Stark and a Targ, though, right? Lyanna was Ned’s sister.

Who thinks Cersei’s gonna die by max, the end of next season?

There were not way more than 2 great eps this season.

But yes, the show won with a shoddy season last year so could definitely win with a non-shoddy season now.

The finale was epic, one of the best episodes of the series and certainly the best finale, ever!

I think this season was better than s2 and s5, but I would rank above 1, 3 and (especially) 4. Overall it was a very good season with 2-3 episodes that weren’t very good, but given the probable competition the win will be fine and deserved.

I loved the first 30 minutes, what a way to direct an episode, right? Lena Headey was EVERYTHING, and I hope she gets a chance to win the Emmy.

Arya’s scene was the most satisfying of the episode, REVENGE BITCHES!

And seeing Dany in those ships gave me the feeling of… finally, after six seasons.

Wow! Ok let’s not go overboard- there are without doubt better dramas than Game Of Thrones, and better performances by actors and actresses out there (only commenting on comparisons made by others!). I mean yes this episode is far more worthy of a writing nomination or win than ‘Battle of the Bastards’, but it still pales in comparison to ‘International Assassin’ for example.

I don’t understand people who think the end-game is approaching. There is A LOT more to come before the final battle. Next season we have:
    Jon/sansa/littlefinger
    Cersei/Jamie
    Dany/dorne/yara
    Euron
    Arya
    Melisandre
    Brotherhood/hound
    Sam in Oldtown
    Bran
    (Maybe Jorah/daario)

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

That episode was good. I guess. I’m sort of sick of Thrones basically boring us to death the entire season then having everything come at once in the final couple episodes. Sort of feels like a rush job to me.

I get the season 2 hate. There was a lot of introduction of new elements, which made it difficult to fully engage with, and the season had less surprises than any other. But from a character perspective it’s probably the show’s best, and the show felt less copy and pasted back then. It’s my overall favorite after the first.
