The North is for Danaerys what Dorne was for Aegon I….Dorne was brought to the Targaryen reign by married when another Danaerys got wed with a dornish Prince….So I’m curious who will come with the idea of a marriage between Dragonstone (along with Dorne, The Reach and Westerland) and The North (and its alliance with The Vale)…Davos or Tyrion?

The Oscar needs to get rid of the preferential ballot so it can name a deserving movie as Best Picture again.

Do people actually want Dany and Jon to hook up? Also, after Bran had his vision last year, does he know Jon is a Targaryan and is just not saying anything for some reason?

My prediction: the three Lannister siblings will reunite before the end of the season and it will be one of the best scenes of the year.

The story is called A Song of Ice & Fire for a reason

Technically A Song of Ice and Fire can just be Jon because he’s a Targ/Stark baby. But I’d be chill with Jon and Dany hooking up just because they’re two hotties.

Bran knows, that’s why he tells Sansa he needs to talk to Jon, it wouldn’t make sense to just randomly tell the rest of the family while he’s not there. Though Imma kii when Dany and Jon inevitably lay pipe and go back to Winterfell together or something and Bran’s like “hey, you brought your aunt!” smh

I don’t get what is so wrong With D&J being together giving the nature of the show and both being Targs…also is politically convenient a help to advance the plot.

And finally they put Peter Dinklage to work. It is a small scene, but is probably him best episode since season 4.

This episode was alright, lots of set up and next week looks like it’ll be epic. It was nice to see Gendry again. I wish someone here wouldn’t have spoiled that. Dany is getting pretty bad. Going back to Missande’s speech a few weeks ago, she used to inspire people to join her, now it’s “bend the knee or die”. I liked the littlefinger and Arya stuff too, I like it when Littlefinger is a step ahead of everyone else plotting out some scheme.

Also, this was a great episode for Dinklage and will probably be his tape next year.

Any disappointment I had at that fine ass but barely developed Dickon getting roasted was washed away immediately by the sight of SWOLE BARATHEON GOD making his reappearance, damn he looks so good. Loved him ignoring Davos’s advice within five seconds and giving a completely northern introduction. And I creamed when he brought out the hammer. Oh Lawd. Oh Lawd!!!! need to see him and Arya interact again.

A lot of setup this episode, which is to be expected, can’t have nonstop Fields of Fire. Dany did pretty much exactly what was expected of someone in her situation but I couldn’t help but think of earlier where Tyrion bragged about how soldiers at Casterly Rock were inferior because they fought out of fear of Cersei while the Unsullied fought because they loved Dany and now the Lannister soldiers… are forced to fight for fear of Dany lmao. But again, can’t exactly let them leave. But I kind of sided with Tyrion on the “lay up on burning people alive Dany.” Oh well. Still a better option than Cersei even though I stan for Jon.

I feel like Sam had a PTSD flashback at the mention of bowel movements lmao. Nice to see Gilly dropped a Rhaegar/”Ragger” reference even though Jon being a trueborn non-bastard Targaryen was a theory I never really liked, I don’t see anything wrong with him just being a heroic bastard, but anything that makes him the rightful ruler I guess. If anything I would have just preferred Lyanna be Rhaegar’s second wife as Targs practiced polygamy in the past, but w/e. And Jorah coming back! Ugh, my heart. My panties. And Jon looking goooooood. This show is NSFL (not safe for LaChienne)

Anyway, Winterfell stuff was pretty solid, as the King’s Landing scenes. Nothing that really stood out to me as amazing, but effective, much like the rest of the episode. Nice to see Tormund again too, and Beric/Thoros/Sandor once more. Even though if you had told me two seasons ago that this was the party going to hunt wights I would have thought it ripped from a fanfiction lmao. But when you’ve trimmed the fat for so many characters…

Overall a perfectly good transition episode, and I can’t wait for the next one — looks thrilling af. Even though I’m so disappointed that the season is almost over when we would only be at the halfway point of a normal season. )): I need a whole 5 more episodes dammit. And then the reminder that next season is the last one further wrecks my shit. Oh well. I give it a high B/B+.

Pretty straight forward episode. Can’t wait for Alan Taylor directing next week, he is my Jack Bender of this year.
