Haha! Great last scene with the Mercedes joke. I think this may be their comeback year, at least I want to think. And Kate Hudson seems like a great additionAugust 15, 2012 at 8:01 pm #255851
I am also hoping this is their comeback season. I had a feeling they’d cover “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons, such a Glee kind of song. Also, looks like Alex Newell is coming back in full force and as a new member of New Directions. The group looked ridiculously small in those few shots (only Sam Larsen, Chord Overstreet, Heather Morris, Darren Criss, and Jenna Ushkowitz). Kate Hudson was funny in that little snippet, and I couldn’t catch the face of the slushie vicitm. I’m really hoping the change of format and introduction of fresh meat gets this show back on track, I’m rooting for it.August 15, 2012 at 9:49 pm #255852
^ You forgot to mention Kevin McHale 🙂August 17, 2012 at 10:00 am #255853
I don’t have high hopes for this season. I think Murphy is committing creative suicide by not letting some of the graduating class go. I don’t know how they are going to pull this off and not make it seem fragmented and overstuffed.
This could be the last season for the show.August 17, 2012 at 12:14 pm #255854
Liked the teaser trailer. It looks like they’re bringing on Alex Newell to New Directions! I wonder how all of that “Unique” business will play out there. I hope that Alex shows up Samuel and Damien left and right this season (and we might not even see Damien until the spring). This might be the best Kate Hudson’s been in anything in a very long time. She might have a Paltrow-type role on her hands. I was hoping for some tease with Sarah Jessica Parker in it, but maybe that’s coming later.August 17, 2012 at 1:20 pm #255855
I didn’t had realized that this is the first role of SJP in tv since SATC’s end eight years ago.August 18, 2012 at 2:51 pm #255856

The shot with “just six” members is probably from the first day back, where they haven’t done any recruiting yet.
As for the slushie victim, I think it’s Sugar, although it could be Harmony (Lindsay Pierce) – IIRC,
Harmony’s last line from Season 3 was something like, “I’m only a
sophomore,” as if she was telegraphing that Harmony would be
transferring to McKinley for Season 4.
I still think that, if there is a Season 5 (and whether or not there is may depend more on how much money the show makes in, for example, downloads and commercial fees worldwide, as well as whether Fox thinks it has something that can get better ratings, than the show’s ratings themselves), they will take it out of McKinley completely (all together now: “after the school burns down following a cheerleading accident gone horribly, horribly wrong”) and have Will, Emma, and Sue hired at Lima University, where a number of the Season 1-3 cast members just happen to have transferred as well (maybe Puck didn’t realize just how cutthroat the pool cleaning business in southern California is, and who knew that Lima U had one of the top dance programs in the country so Mike would show up there as well).
And speaking of Season 4, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Amelia Lowe as a New Directions “nameless singer” (the way the TroubleTones always had three or four “singers” who only seemed to appear when performing, but never with any of the others in the crowd, or at the awards ceremony, or even on the bus to an event). It’s not as if she’s going to be busy with a full-time spot on the SYTYCD tour or anything…August 21, 2012 at 12:15 pm #255857

The name of the first episode is “The New Rachel.”August 23, 2012 at 11:30 am #255859
For that matter, the name of the second episode is “Britney 2.0” – yes, it’s another Britney Spears episode.
Meanwhile, Fox’s TV distribution site has a preliminary listing of Glee’s airdates, and, instead of a single long break this season, there will be a number of shorter ones:
October 11 through November 1 (4 weeks)
This is a correction – originally it said there was no episode on 11/8, but it has changed;
also note that the schedule has a new episode airing on Thanksgiving, but this is something Fox normally doesn’t do, and there are also rumors that there will be two back-to-back episodes on either 11/8 or 11/15
December 20 through January 10 (4 weeks)
February 28 through March 14 (3 weeks)
April 4 and 11 (2 weeks)
The season finale is scheduled for May 9 (not sure what they’re doing on May 16, but if Fox does what it usually does, the next season of So You Think You Can Dance will start on May 23)August 24, 2012 at 2:23 pm #255860
debut, GLEE has singlehandedly made glee clubs cool again. – Oh really?
The series boasts
critical acclaim, a die-hard fan base. – Maybe at some point, sure.
Character descriptions for all of last season’s main characters (and none for the Glee Project kids, bye), highlights:
KURT (Chris Colfer), the driven and confident kid with a heart
of gold – Oh please, I know the writers worship him, but he’s often a huge ass.
ARTIE (Kevin McHale), a performer with tons of street cred who
isn’t held back by his wheelchair; TINA (Jenna Ushkowitz), a strong and
opinionated goth chick; and the fly dancer MIKE (Harry Shum). – Well when they don’t have much personality to work with…but Tina’s been non-goth for awhile.
Dynamic dim-witted cheerleading duo of BRITTANY (Heather Morris) and SANTANA (Naya Rivera). – When was Santana dimwitted?
newcomers also join the musical comedy when it returns this fall. In
the season premiere, Rachel lands in New York City to attend NYADA and
meets BRODY WESTON (Dean Geyer), a handsome upperclassman who shows an interest in her. Meanwhile, back at McKinley, squeaky clean sophomore MARLEY ROSE (Melissa Benoist) and Puck’s bad-boy younger half-brother, JAKE PUCKERMAN (Jacob Artist), both try out for the glee club and Sue Sylvester has a new sidekick with Cheerio! KITTY (Becca Tobin).
Speculation is that we’ll see little of Mike, Noah, Quinn, and Mercedes…but that’s not much of a change. Joe, Sugar, and Unique are going to be around at least once, possibly in the club. Also, the Glee Project winner will be around. So is that 12 members? Sam, Artie, Brit, Blaine, Tina, 4 new characters…I guess Joe, Sugar, and Unique might have to be in it to have 12.August 25, 2012 at 2:13 pm #255861
