I don’t get the sense Fonda or Tomlin is itching to ditch the show. So long as Netflix is on board for more, I think it continues.

Not only have I heard Fonda and Tomlin say that they don’t want the show to end anytime soon but they have also said in multiple interviews that they would love to do 2 seasons a year

‘Grace and Frankie’ Renewed for Season 5, Books RuPaul as a Guest Star

Netflix has renewed “Grace and Frankie” for a fifth season, the streaming service announced today.

Additionally, RuPaul has booked a guest star stint on the new season. He will portray Benjamin Le Day, a “formidable and quick-witted adversary who faces off with Grace and Frankie.”

“Grace and Frankie” stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as the titular characters who found their lives turned upside down when their husbands (played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston, respectively) revealed they were gay and left the women for each other.

The show, which comes from creators Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris, is executive produced by Kauffman, Morris, Paula Weinstein, John Hoffman, Billy Finnegan, Robbie Tollin, Fonda, Tomlin, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross. It also stars Brooklyn Decker, June Diane Raphael, Ethan Embry, and Baron Vaughn.

The fourth season of “Grace and Frankie” premiered globally on Netflix in January 2018 and featured guest stars such as Peter Gallagher and Lisa Kudrow.

RuPaul is the Emmy Award-winning host and executive producer of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” which is about to premiere its 10th season for Viacom. He was named one of Time Magazines’s 100 Most Influential People last year.

Season 5 of “Grace and Frankie” will be available to stream in 2019.

Finally got around to watching this and dramatically, it really is the best season. It’s pretty much about imperfections in everyone and how Grace and Frankie come to terms with old age where as the first three seasons, they were focused on finding the youth within them again.

Tomlin is great as usual but Fonda is the best in show here. The Expiration Date would be the best submission for both of them but The Hinge would be fine too. And they finally improved on the kids’ storyline! For the first time, I wasn’t bored with any of them when they were on screen. However, Robert and Sol were pretty bland for two-thirds of it and then bounced back.

As much as I like Lisa Kudrow, she doesn’t really do anything. She’s in the first two episodes and then they just completely cut her storyline.

Finally watched this and it was the best season by far. The humor was there and the stakes were raised in a way that genuinely got me invested into the show. I still wouldn’t nominate the show but this is the first time I’m not dreading it getting nominated. Also, we should look out for this in series. Changes are coming, voters watch this, it grows every year, and this was it’s best season.

    Also, I hate Robert.
