The Hot in Cleveland cast will start filming Season 4 on the first week of September. They are scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2012, my guess is sometime in November. The season will consist of 24 episodes.July 5, 2012 at 1:04 pm #248823
Okay, is it just me, or did the quality of this show take a steep decline in Season 3. Season 1 was good, and season 2 was good, but it seemed like there was about 7 or 8 actual good episodes from Season 3.
Meanwhile, Wendie Malick deserves an Emmy for this show. She is the only thing that can save a horrible episode, and make it an okay episode.July 5, 2012 at 1:22 pm #248824
Some people feel that way. I believe that Season 1 was good, season 2 was great, and season 3 was good. So if i had to rate them i would rate them like this
season 1 – 4 stars
season 2 – 5 stars
season 3 – 4 stars.
But since like 36 episode of season 2 and 3 are eligible for the Emmy’s Betty and Possibly ( Hopefully ) wendie will have alot to pick from.July 5, 2012 at 6:37 pm #248825
I completely agree. Season 1 started off good, season 2 really was fantastic, and season 3, while it was a decline from season 2 and even season 1, it was good.
If Betty and Wendie were nominated:
Betty should go with “Brideszelka” – she was hilarious in this episode. The first time they actually gave her more than one line zingers in an episode.
And Wendie should go with “Everything Goes Better with Vampires” – seriously, she’s hilarious here, and its her best performance since “Good Luck Faking the Goiter”. If she doesnt go with that she should go with either “God and Football” or “The Emmy Show”July 7, 2012 at 6:31 pm #248826
COMPLETELY agree with you. I really hope that in season 4 they give Betty more material, such as Bridezelka. I mean you have Betty White on your show USE HER. Because she has proven in the past that if you give her good lines and good plots that she can make GREAT episodes. Anyway i read somewhere that Regis Philibin is coming back for more episodes ( maybe that will give Betty some good material ).July 19, 2012 at 1:41 pm #248827
CBS television distribution has sold Hot in Cleveland into syndication that will cover 65% of the country. We were talking about this about 6 months ago, and it looks like it is going into syndication.
By the way Congragulations to Hot in Cleveland for getting 2 Emmy nominations for Editing and Makeup!!!!! Even though Betty was snubbed and Art direction and Cinematagrophy was snubbed as well along with some guest stars, it is still pretty good!!! I can’t wait until the 4th season!!! I think Betty can get back in at the Emmy’s next year because there will definitly be 2 empty spots ( Kristin Wiig and Kathryn Joosten ) and i don’t really see Weaver repeating. Hopefully Krakowski and White can get back in next year! I was shocked this morning……..if there was a surprise nomination i would expect it to be Wendie Malick…… Oh well……July 19, 2012 at 1:53 pm #248828
Ugh once again McCarthy took Malick’s slot in comedy actress.July 19, 2012 at 2:50 pm #248829
Wendie submitted in Suporting. Joosten/Bialik/weaver took her spot……… i think next year Betty and Possibly Wendie will be nominated ( because Kristiin is leaving SNL and joosten is dead )July 20, 2012 at 3:28 am #248830
Why would she submit there? She’s anything but supporting on that show.July 20, 2012 at 4:04 am #248831
The girls sadly think it’s an ensemble show and that they all are supporting each other. The truth is much different, the main three are leading and Elka is supporting. I still think if Malick submitted in leading last year, she would have been an Emmy winner by now.July 28, 2012 at 5:10 pm #248832
She’ll always be Rose Nylund to me and just Rose 🙂July 28, 2012 at 8:23 pm #248833

It has been announced that Heather Locklear ( Melrose Place, Spin City ) will have a Season 4 arc on Hot in Cleveland. She will be in at least 3 episodes.July 30, 2012 at 2:15 pm #248835
Fantastic news! I absolutely adore Heather Locklear. She has great comedic timing and will be a nice addition to the show. Wish she was a regular instead of Betty White.
