The trailer for season 2 has finally dropped! Premieres August 16, 2019 on Netflix.

And yes, Cameron Britton is back, which is all that matters anyways.
Discuss.
ReplyJuly 30, 2019 at 12:41 pm #1203002619A major TV drama returning in August is not sending out screeners because the network isn’t "seeking prerelease reviews.” They’re not even going to do an embargo for premiere day.
In an era of Peak TV, if you’re not Game of Thrones, this is a great way to not get coverage.

Looks like we won’t be getting reviews for this ahead of time.

July 30, 2019 at 1:00 pm #1203002647My first guess would have been “The Affair.” At least it’s not “Succession.”
And Emily sounds mad whiny not getting her precious screenersssss.

Ahhh fine I didn’t read all of it. Still hoping for a great season regardless.

August 13, 2019 at 12:48 pm #1203022220Season 2 looks really good. So excited about it now that Euphoria has ended.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 15, 2019 at 3:12 am #1203024796I really hope the no screener stuff has nothing to do with the quality of the show. Emily is right when saying that most times networks hide their screeners because they don’t want bad press, but Netflix has been doing things differently for a while now, so hopefully it has nothing to do with that.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 15, 2019 at 5:00 am #1203024813I’m so ready for this one. I’ve been needing some Fincher in my life.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 16, 2019 at 5:37 am #1203026164Hollywood Reporter raved it, FWIW. It also reads much higher than the score Metacritic assigned to it.

ReplyCopy URLAugust 16, 2019 at 9:50 am #1203026519Although this season is one episode shorter, it overall has a longer run time with episodes being eight minutes longer on average. I wish that they had edited it differently for another clean count of ten.

It does indeed. Metacritic is frustrating like that sometimes. I last noticed it with Chernobyl.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 17, 2019 at 1:26 pm #1203028140Damon Herriman’s portrayal of Manson was superb. Just as good as Britton’s Kemper.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 17, 2019 at 1:31 pm #1203028148Obviously it’s hard to tell who’ll be his competition next year, but what do people think of David Herriman’s guest actor chances? Also, since Cameron Britton is back this season, what are the chances of him securing another nomination?
