I love this show but i am dismayed at the ratings! Hopefully it will stay alive!October 1, 2011 at 11:57 am #226562
I am extremely nervous about the ratings. NBC should start thinking of a better timeslot for this because the show has an excellent ensemble and the dialogue is never dragged for dramatic purposes. Mario Bello is also great in this.October 3, 2011 at 10:38 am #226563
Hope the ratings pick up for this one because , IMO, the 2nd episode was even better than the pilot. Great ensemble and being helmed by a great leading lady.October 4, 2011 at 1:56 am #226564
I really want this show to last. The 2nd episode was fantastic, and it was very involving, much more than the pilot. And the cast is terrific. Bello is totally Emmy worthy as is O’Byrne. I enjoyed the pilot well enough, but for me this past episode was substantially better.October 4, 2011 at 8:47 am #226565
This show is really good. I really do think it’s just another procedural, but because it’s new, it’s good and refreshing. But the cases, the look of the show, the style of acting, there really isn’t any difference between this and other shows like SVU.
If this show lasts, or if it were a hit, there isn’t really anything standing in the way of an easy nomination for both Bello and O’Byrne. You just know they’ll have THE episode one of these weeks and have their perfect submission.October 6, 2011 at 9:24 am #226566
EPISODE 1×03 – “Bitch”

I really hope this show stays on the air, its great and tonight was even better!October 6, 2011 at 9:35 pm #226568
I must admit, this show just continues to surprise. They took what could have been a very average story and made it surprisngly compelling. A lot of that has to do with the strenght of the cast, Bello in particuarly. I said this last week, but I really hope NBC gives this show a full season to continue to develop and really find it’s audience. It has a lot going for it.
By contrast, NBC has very little going for it in the drama department. They could really stand to keep “Prime Suspect” around a let it grow.October 9, 2011 at 8:46 am #226569
What I’m loving about this show is how consistently great it has been for the first three episodes — usually with procedurals you have such a flux in episode quality but Prime Suspect seems to be finding its niche.
Ratings for the show:
- 6.05 million viewers, 1.8
- 5.69 million viewers, 1.5
- 5.04 million viewers, 1.5
So while this would surely be cancelled on any other network, most articles I’ve read have said that this still has a fighting chance on NBC simply because it’s consistent in the demo. I think another timeslot would be much better for this show. This has no place being after “Whitney” — I highly doubt their audiences are the same.October 12, 2011 at 8:45 am #226570
EPISODE 1×04 – “Great Guy, Yet: Dead”
Jane suspects the wife in a stockbroker’s murder; and turns to hypnotism
to quit smoking. In other events, Matt is upset that his ex-wife
doesn’t want Jane at their son’s birthday party.

I really need to catch this show. I’m told that its a surprisingly good crime procedural, and I hope that NBC keeps it around. If “Harry’s Law” (who watches this? I’ve never met a soul) can stick around, so should this, it sounds.October 16, 2011 at 5:25 am #226572
Thought this would be a great article to share.
for some reason since goldderby wont let me copy and paste i will just provide the link, Ken Tucker has had a change of heart with this show and encourages more people to watch it.

Another strong episode. This has to be one of the most consistent series on TV right now…I really hope it can start attracting more viewers.October 20, 2011 at 5:46 am #226574

In other events, Jane and her dad celebrate an important anniversary.
