I had forgotten how hilariously irritated Tim was getting with Oliver/Olivier earlier this season.

I agree with you guys, the head-to-head competition was a great catalyst for drama, as was that last minute twist about only sending down one look.  Some of those other looks were pretty terrible.

It’s shocking to me that Laura is still around.  A few weeks ago, I thought that the Fashion Week trio would be out of Viktor, Anya, Anthony Ryan, and Joshua.  Now that Anthony’s gone, I guess it’ll be the other three.  I can’t imagine Laura making it, but Kimberly might.  I thought she was going to be in danger with that 70s challenge a couple of weeks ago.  I can’t believe she was safe.

One of the things that kind of bugs me with this show is the way they handle construction issues.  To me, it seems like it shouldn’t really matter if something isn’t as finished as something else.  Unless the finishing is distractingly bad, I feel like it should’t matter.  It’s a design competition, and I realize part of that is executing their looks, but in the real world it’s not going to matter if they can’t make a super-polished looking dress in 10 hours.

Yeah I think Viktor and Anya in the finals is almost a given…and that last spot is really up for grabs.

Josh is out of control.   Did you see him on the after show special?   He refused to even acknowledge his bad behavior all season.

One critique I don’t understand is why it matters if Anya’s models have to be cut out of their clothes once the runway is over?   That happens at actual fashion shows all the time…PLUS the only thing that matters is what walks down the runway.   It doesn’t matter how the model got in or out of the clothes.

    Episode 12: The Finale Challenge
The clothiers try to make the cut by creating a minicollection that
emphasizes their overall fashion vision. Actress Zoe Saldana is the

Agreed. And as far as the bitching from fellow contestants goes about her lack of sewing experience, it won’t really matter much if she wins and gets her own clothing line because it’s not like she’s going to have to sew every single garment she sells herself and in a time limit like the challenges. I think Anya has come a looooong way, and I’ve loved her from day one.

I’m very happy with the final four, and I can’t wait to see everyone’s collections. Kimberly is clearly the underdog here, but between her off and on stylistic choices and Josh’s attitude and overdoing his looks, I’m not sure which of the two will be in the Top 3. Viktor and Anya were always a given, and I’m so pleased to see them make it to the very end. I’m hoping Anya can take it all and come out on top, especially knowing how inexperienced she was when she first started and how only Heidi even wanted to give her a chance. For once, I’d like to see Heidi’s favorite contestant take the crown (poor Mondo from last season!!).

P.S.- Zoe Saldana looked STUNNING when she came out. What a beautiful woman.

Kimberly was one of my favorites up until the last 3 or 4 episodes, where she seemed to be losing steam, or at least inspiration.  Her one dress was nice, but the coat wasn’t that great and the other outfit not much better, so I feared she’d be cut.  Like the judges, I am baffled why she didn’t include at least one pants outfit, since the ones she did this season were awesome.  I’m glad she’ll have a chance after all.  Laura’s been struggling for several episodes now, so she should be glad she made it to the final 5.  I’m not a fan of Josh, but I did like the white dress, and at least he didn’t overdesign these looks to the extent he usually does.  I’m very happy for Anya and Viktor, though I find it funny how they seem to be criticizing Viktor for creating “wearable” looks, when last year, “wearable” earned Gretchen a win (and wearable or not, I think his designs are more interesting than hers were).

I completely agree, especially about Viktor VS Gretchen from last season.

I’m very curious to see what Kimberly brings to the table. She needs to totally shine to make it all the way and hopefully the few months she has to get her collection together will give her time to relax and focus. She’s been too in her own mind lately, and it’s showed. I’m glad she’s made it this far though.

And can I say that the worst look last night was Laura’s pillow case dress, as Zoe Saldana described it. She’s so right, it looked terrible. And it didn’t fit into her collection AT ALL. I thought the best look was a tie between Viktor’s pants/leather jacket combo, Anya’s black dress, and Josh’s white dress.

I’m still confused if those four are now the final contestants vying for the win or if one of them will be ditched right before fashion week? It wasn’t pointed out, was it.
This only underlined the episode’s unevenness. I really didn’t have a lot of fun watching it.

Anya’s black dress was stunning I have to give her that, but her other pieces got way too much praise. Any other designer would have been trashed for that gown. yuck.
About Josh, that white cocktail dress bored me to death and the rest was just horrible. How could they possibly like that tank top he put under the vest??! Way too much praise here as well.
Kim did ok I thought, although the coat was odd-looking, but I have to agree with you guys that she ran out of steam.
Laura being auf’ed was expected, she never did anything that warranted her to even be in the top 5.

I’m excited to see their collections, but after this challenge I feel pretty much disappointed with the designers this season.

^I’m pretty sure they’re going to do what they did last season where they eliminate one more contestant before fashion week.

You think so? But wouldn’t they have told the four contestants that only three will be in the finale, and that they want to see their collection first before making the decision?

I’m really happy about Anya and Viktor making it to Fashion Week. Can’t say the same about Joshua and Kimberly. Josh will be a mess and he won’t win. I’m also tired of his attitude towards Anya and himself and his supposed brilliance (according only to him).

Kimberly was never a favorite of mine, I would’ve prefered Laura in that spot. And of course, Anthony Ryan over Laura.

As for Anya’s critique about sewing people in and out of dresses. I know that’s how it works in fashion shows, but every once in a while people actually do make a zipper or a button in time to get the dress right, because they know how to. And Anya never does it, and the contestants almost always seem to do it. I think that Josh and Viktor had a point even if they made it in a ridiculous, obnoxious and meangirl way. It always came down to “can Anya do it?…or did she just run out of time”.

The thing is that she can’t really tailor anything and that bothered me when it came to showing skill. But on the other hand I also have to see it as: maybe Anya will never make a tailored pant…why should she?, maybe her line or lines will always be dresses and jumpers, who cares?. Nobody is making them do it, nobody said it was mandatory. And range isn’t necessarily “one jacket in everybody’s collection” Joshua.

As for the finale, like I said last week, there’s really no denying that Anya and Viktor are the winners. We’ll just have to wait and see because it’s really a toss-up between the two. I think Viktor might have the edge, but you never know.

Oh and about the challenge. I would’ve made it one of those weeks when nobody is a winner and they just choose who goes to Fashion Week and end the episode there. I didn’t think anybody made anything particularly stunning or deserving of a win.

Anya had the best result, Viktor was a little shaky, Laura’s collection didn’t even start right (circles?), Kim’s was a mess and extremely repetitive. Joshua’s was awful (that tank can’t be in a cover Nina, please!).

Nina’s taste has been a big question mark for me this season. She has gone for A LOT of ugly things this year and that top Joshua did was just another one of them. Kim winning her challenge was awful, she looked really bad in it when they went to her office. I’ll always love her, but this season she showed that she really has a bit of a bad taste when it comes to her own clothes, not just in that challenge but also the way she dresses in judging.

And Zoe Saldana knows her stuff and is a tough judge like that Olivia Palermo girl. I wish one of them would be the final judge. I don’t know who it will be, but those two really set the bar high this season.

Another ho-hum episode, at least as far as the fashions.  I have not peeked online at any of the contestants’ final lines, but I can’t believe that these were the looks meant for Fashion Week.  Only Victor’s looks seemed to stand out (especially yet another killer jacket, but I really liked all 3 of his at least to some extent).  Josh’s were okay, though the only thing I really liked of his was the jacket from the first look (hated the pink pants and the blue shoes).  Anya’s and Kimberly’s were both extremely disappointing.  I know that Anya is pretty laid-back, but I could not believe that she didn’t have a thing to show Tim when he came to visit.  What was she thinking??  I felt it was a cop-out that they let all 4 go on.  Hopefully I’ll be able to stay awake next week for the finale.

I was very disappointed by pretty much everyone. These are the looks they want to represent them at Fashion Week? Seriously? I love Anya, and I’ve loved her from day 1, but she just totally fell apart. She’s so lucky that they kept all 4, which was a major copout, because she could’ve been gone, even though personally I thought all of Kimberly’s looks were hot messes and i would’ve just ended her run right then and there. Josh’s jacket was okay, but I hated the rest. Viktor’s looks were good, but expected, and somewhat safe. I loved the jacket, which made me think of Lady Gaga for some reason, but I agree with the judges that it was overkill paired with that dress.

I hope the final collections are somehow vastly superior to what the final 4 had to show last night. If not, this will go down as one of the worst Fashion Weeks in ‘Project Runway’ history.
