Is Courteney Cox might be able to pull out a Guest Actress nomination?

Lively episode, but I guess I was expecting more of a cliffhanger or something for the winter finale. (This season is being split up into two parts. The next half premieres in January 2019.) Emmy Rossum was so good. This is the kind of material she excels at and I hoped seeing for her all season long. Really digging Katey Sagal as Frank’s crazy new love interest. The rest kind of hummed along until the end. It was more of jolt felt last episode getting Mickey back to Ian. I’ll miss this, but now I’ll just transition into “Ray Donovan,” so no problems there.

Looks like Emmy Rossum will get some juicy material leading up to her exit from the series. Like father, like daughter, indeed. Speaking of father, this might be one of the vilest things I’ve ever seen Frank do, which is really saying something. I’m halfway interested in a Kevin/Vee, mainly b/c of its topical nature. Debbie seems to take on the Fiona role now, which is interesting. Also love Katey Sagal on here and excited to see what happens with her this season.

Finally caught up. Katey Sagal’s role is larger than I expected it to be. All I’m looking for now really is how the show writes off Emmy Rossum. Fiona is in a downward spiral that can go in a couple of directions, but the end is coming very soon, so I’m both excited and nervous about it. Needless to say, Rossum has been killing everything that’s been handed to her.

And now Emmy Rossum’s exit storyline is coming into focus. Fiona self-destructs on alcohol, is kicked out of the family house, and then goes to rehab? I hope that’s as final as it gets with Fiona’s departure.

The departure is definitely coming in to focus. I am confused why Cameron (Ian) is returning, when I thought he had announced he was leaving. Thrilled with his return, yet confused. I think Luis Guzmán has been great and am hopeful they find a way for him to stick around. Also interested in the potential of Lip as a dad!

I haven’t caught up with this season yet. I’ve only read reviews, so I want to know: is it really gotten that bad as they’ve been saying?

All caught up for the season finale. It looks like Fiona might get a happy ending after all, following a hopeless sea of calamities befalling her in these final episodes that she didn’t really deserve. Emmy Rossum has been fantastic all through this, giving her some of the best material of the series, or at least since mid-run. The money landfall is kinda iffy. The investment money for the retirement community was from the loan collateral against the apartment complex that Fiona was going to use for Ian’s bail. That has to be repaid with interest, correct? It’s not free and clear money that she gets to start over with a new life? Well, let’s see how they address it all tonight, though it probably won’t at all for wish-fulfillment.
