The fact that the rest of the tribe went along with Colton’s move is crazier than the stunt he actually pulled. It also destroyed a glimpse of hope that Alicia might be voted off.
If another all-stars edition features the likes of Brandon, Phillip and Colton, the tribal council will be totally insane. And Jeff Probst will win a lifetime achievement award as a reality host if there is one.March 8, 2012 at 11:06 am #240020
Not so sure Colton is a villain. Russell understood every move, the how’s and why’s, Colton is not bright or evolved enough to understand any of that. Colton simply doesn’t know any differently. He is a sheltered biggot; a villain in ‘real’ life no doubt. He deserves our pity, not our anger. Russell knew very well what he was doing.March 8, 2012 at 6:57 pm #240021
I loved it. And Jeff’s face could’ve won that Emmy for him very easily.
Colton is a villain, just like the others. Is Russell a better villain, yes, of course, but Colton is a villain for sure.
He looked like a stupid little bratt that decided he didn’t like somebody so let’s vote him off, Russell voted the people that were in his way, not the people he simply didn’t like “just because”.
At the end of the day, I always believe that the people that come out the worse in these situations are not the villains, but the idiots that follow them around. After tonight’s vote, why not get rid of Colton? How do all these men not realize that he’s manupulating them, that he’s running the show (as they have said themselves) and get him out and start the alliances from scratch? Is it really that hard to see that he’s going to eat them up?…unless next week’s twist screws up Colton.
A tired show like this one needs people like Colton for better or for worse, otherwise we have the same challenges, the same tribal council, the same coconuts and the same blankets over and over again, so thank you Colton, please don’t go away.

Bump for tonight. I absolutely despise Colton and his racist and rude comments. Calling Bill ghetto trash was bad (especially since, if anything, Bill’s a stoner/surfer-looking guy), but calling Leif an oompa loompa/munchkin, and to get back to Oz? It amazes me that people follow him around like they are.
Nonethless, I’m watching tonight since it looks like someone gets injured/maybe medically evacuated, so it’s possible he goes.March 21, 2012 at 6:17 pm #240023
Just watched. Maybe I’ll wait to say more until after everyone gets a chance to see it, but all in all, everything felt a little anticlimactic to me. And regardless of what happened tonight, I still find it hard to find anyone to root for this season.March 21, 2012 at 10:57 pm #240024
A medical evacuation couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person.March 22, 2012 at 1:06 am #240026
That was so anti-climatic. Colton deserves to be blindsided in one of the biggest blindsides in Survivor’s history, though I doubt it would ever happen if he stayed around, given that other players, especially the men, kept pandering to his wish.
Talking about the real cockroach, Alicia lives to fight another day! She’s so useless and annoying. If somehow Christina manages to stay longer than her, it would make my day.
“OMG! What is appendicitis?” Kat is genuinely funnier than most characters in sitcoms these days.
This season has been really good so far. It can still be fun without Colton, don’t forget that we still have Tarzan.March 22, 2012 at 4:31 am #240027
I agree with oopschoice- I would rather have seen Colton blindsided still holding the idol (though in a way, I guess that’s what happened) I wouldn’t wish a medical emergency on anyone, even him. The worst part about Colton was that in the end, he was trying to act all sweet for the cameras: oh, boo hoo, all I ever wanted was to have my chance. Barf, so now the producers will put him on 5 more seasons for sure.
Alicia is at least as horrible a person, if not worse. I hope her behavior comes back on her, but as we all know, with Survivor that doesn’t always happen. At least Jonas is starting to get a clue. Tarzan reminds me a lot of Phillip in that it’s hard to decide if he’s just stupid, or if he’s brilliant and has something up his sleeve that we can’t see yet. Probably the former but you never know.
Kat HAS to be putting on an act. I mean, nobody is THAT dumb… are they?? 😉March 22, 2012 at 11:09 am #240028
Call me crazy but I could see Kat in a sitcom.. She is immensely likeable. I wish Colton had been voted off instead. Now he has an excuse (albeit legitimate, the little shit had surgery).March 22, 2012 at 2:49 pm #240029
There’s a secret scene on CBS where Colton and Alicia slant their eyes to look like Christina.
So, for the record, Colton called a black guy ghetto trash, a little person an oomp loompa, and he slants his eyes to look like a Korean woman. His hate knows no bounds.March 28, 2012 at 6:58 pm #240031
Sort of a boring episode. Tarzan is such a nutcase that I wish he’d been voted off. I wish they could see what a loose cannon he is, and despite all that talk about “loyalty,” he actually flipflops more than anyone. At least he’ll say it up front, but it doesn’t take much to tick him off and make him change his alliance. I’d rather have had him go than Jonas, but Jonas didn’t really help his case by targeting Mike. What’s funny is that the men initially had a plan of staying all together and adding Alicia to pick off all the women. Instead, Jonas voted for Mike and all the other men voted for Jonas, so now if they all get picked off one by one, they’ll have no one to blame but themselves. The previews seem to suggest that that might not happen, though. We’ll see. At least Jonas had a good attitude about it all in his exit interview. Is he on the jury? I didn’t catch if he was or not.
Troyzan is starting to grow on me a little bit. He got immunity and now has an idol, so he’s quietly sitting pretty at the moment. I still like Sabrina and Kim, too.March 29, 2012 at 12:48 am #240032
The men are pretty much screwed. Mike and Jay, the outsider of the men’s alliance, had every reason for not sticking with them, but they didn’t do themselves any favor staying with the girls. Kim seems to be in the best position at the moment and Christina can stay trouble free for a while. Troyzan is the only one who didn’t vote with the rest of the group and he is an obvious threat, so he’s next on the chopping block? It sucks that Jonas’s gone since he and Troyzan are the only two men who really have their heads in the game. The hidden immunity idol may help Troyzan in a short term, so he has to scramble big time and fast.
And I won’t be surprised if Tarzan ends up outlasting the rest of the men.
Edit: Just found out it’s Leif who didn’t vote with the rest of the tribe. Still, Troyzan is an obvious threat, physically and strategically.March 29, 2012 at 11:29 am #240033

Answering my own question, yes, Jonas is on the jury. There is a Ponderosa video up on the CBS website now, and they recap Probst saying “and the first member of our jury”, which I didn’t catch last night.
I guess that means, unsurprisingly, that it’ll be a final 3 again. I wish they’d mix it up and go back to a final 2 sometimes. While I don’t like the fact that the winner of the final immunity gets the sole say in who they take to the finals, I do prefer for the jury to choose between 2. I always wished they’d have tried a final immunity that eliminated 1 player (like they did with some of the Redemption Island duels) so that the final 2 would be there on merit rather than simply riding coattails. I guess it doesn’t make for as good TV, though.
