Huge congrats to editor Peter Chakos on winning his second consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Multi-Cam Picture Editing for a Comedy Series. After 21 nominations, that is richly deserved.
The Big Bang Theory Season 9 premieres Monday, September 21, 2015.
And it’s the wedding.

I actually really loved this episode. Not sure why. But I thought the performances were great (surprisingly apart from Bialik) with Parsons and Cuoco making me laugh a lot. The part with Sheldon at the window was hilarious.September 22, 2015 at 4:17 pm #360620
So I guess that whole Susan on Seinfeld theory isn’t coming true. They are actually going through with it.

I think the episode was good. But what I liked most was the possibilities that the show have for this ninth year. If the writers work right, we can have an amazing season.September 22, 2015 at 11:26 pm #360622
Ratings for premier: 18.20 million viewers and a 4.7 rating in the key demographic.
A bit underwhelmed by the premier. Funny in some places, but overall too gritty. The wedding was anticlimactic, and how it unfolded was a weird built-up from 8 years of The Big Bang Theory.
Loved Steward’s comedic timing here, and hopefully the writers have more for him to do this season.
The writers need to step it up and get this show in a fresh direction. It is just churning along.
It’s season 9, for crying out loud.September 23, 2015 at 6:49 am #360623
I kinda hated this episode. Having them get married just to do that seemd like a jerk move. My grade: CSeptember 29, 2015 at 4:51 pm #360624
I don’t know. I still like Sheldon and Jim Parsons and everything, but I feel like at this point, even though they never said it on the show, I think Sheldon is somewhere on the autism spectrum, and if so, all these “quirks” that he has are purely not his fault, it’s just how his brain functions, and the other characters shouldn’t get angry at him for doing that stuff.
Also, I am not liking how they are writing Sheldon. They are making him too much of a dick. He’s naive and innocent, not a dick.

Thought the second episode was a great improvement over the first. Leonard and Penny’s realizations of why they may have been subconsciously sabotaging the wedding felt true to character. And Sheldon suppressing his knocking urge was very funny. I just hope they’re going somewhere substantive with the Amy/Sheldon thing. Perhaps this is how they are going to make it more convincing that Sheldon could begin to believe in the concept of love. I could see that working.
Random side note: I have noticed a pattern in the writing credits. When Maria Ferrari is credited with teleplay and not just story, the characters tend to feel more true and their situations funnier. This may not have anything to do with the price of beans, but it does come across that may to me.October 1, 2015 at 1:53 pm #360626
Just seen the second episode and thought it was the episode of the show since at least season 7. I laughed out loud numerous times (the fun with flags stuff was brilliant) and enjoyed all of the storylines. Also, this episode is exactly to me how the show needs to utilise Jim Parsons as it displayed all his quirks and annoyances but in a far more empathetic and entertaining way. I also found myself supporting the Leonard and Penny relationship for once which meant I was far more interested in their arc.October 5, 2015 at 8:43 pm #360627
9×03 – The Bachelor Party Corrosion
The guys’ science skills are put to the test when they get a flat tire during Leonard’s bachelor party weekend in Mexico. Meanwhile, the girls force Penny to finally tell her family that she eloped with Leonard.October 5, 2015 at 8:50 pm #360628

9×04 – The 2003 Approximation
Leonard and Penny finally move in together leaving Sheldon very upset with this big change in his life and wishing he could go back to a time when he had no emotions in 2003 before he met Leonard. Raj, Howard and Stuart attempt to form a band.October 12, 2015 at 6:16 pm #360631
I liked the episode, but Sheldon’s situation is getting too dramatic… at least the end was ‘cute’. Raj and Howard plot was great, and the song is in my head: ð¶ Thor & Dr Jones… One plays with lightning, the other plays with bones!!!
