Seems like they aren’t submitting Alan Alda. I haven’t been following the show in the Emmy race, but this seems like news since Alda is still in the predictions center. Or maybe I missed something?
Update: My bad. This is the 2017 FYC package.

Fantastic finale, and overall a superior season of television. It’s a season that clearly surpassed season one, and ranks up there with the best seasons of TGW.
Christine Baranski should be a shoe-in for a nomination this year (though that probability is probably low). Her best tape is episode 10. Audra McDonald should consider the impeachment episode as her tape, if she has any shot either. Alda and Martindale should also be in the conversation for guest actor and actress, respectively. Wow, Margo Martingale could win her fourth Emmy with the finale–she chewed the scenery whole and made her one-minute appearance unforgettable.June 2, 2018 at 2:54 pm #1202557796
Judith Light is also submitted. And they submitted for original music and lyrics. I don’t watch the show, but this got me intrigued.June 2, 2018 at 5:36 pm #1202557849
Thanks for sharing, Eden! It looks like Good Fight sent their own FYC mailer separate from the CBS Studios set that includes the impeachment, golden shower tape, and the shooting episodes, three of the best from the season. I’m not sure how much it’ll sway voters, but they’ve put together a great package here!

Just finished the season and I have some things to say:
I agree with many of you that the performances are excellent. Personally I LOVED Delroy Lindo, Ashley Thomas, Andrea Martin & the #MeToo-themed episode. Although subtlety is not the show’s strongest suit. Alan Alda and Carrie Preston were exceptional too.
The Trump stuff was overdone IMO. I like my shows Trump-free, pleaseandthankyou. The bait was too much. Lucca is unbearable as a character. I don’t think it’s Cush Jumbo’s performance, moreso the writing. Also I’m confused. Is Dominic Quinn Lucca’s half brother or real brother? If he is in fact Lucca’s biological brother then as good as Ashley Thomas was he was terribly miscast. There is no way he is biracial. No ma’am.
The writing is really really bad. I would have loved too see somewhat of a decent time frame for Adrian to recover from a gunshot. There is no way, in real life, someone can recover that quickly. The gun shot and swify recovery happened in the same episode? Bye, Felucious. And then there’s Lucca’s pregnancy. In every episode she is a month forward in her pregnancy. Almost as if the writers wanted a birth in the season finale. That is just really bad writing. The time gaps are just too much.
This show clearly has potential to be great someday, but unfortunately it’s still a flawed show with great performances and in need of some subtlety going forward. If the show wants to be recognized as a prestige drama it should definitely cut down on the Trump stuff and the melodrama.June 27, 2018 at 12:01 am #1202574526This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.June 27, 2018 at 5:59 pm #1202575119
I’m finally watching this show and I love it. It is so fun and has so much personality. I’m still on season 1 but I’ll catch up soon. I have also not seen past the pilot of The Good Wife so I will binge that eventually.
If you think Season 1 is good. Season 2 will blow your mind. And the good wife….. dear god I wish I was you so I could rewatch it all over agin for the first timeJune 27, 2018 at 11:59 pm #1202575311This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.June 28, 2018 at 12:03 am #1202575316
I just watched episode 6. So far, I don’t love season 2 as much as season 1, but I’m only half way through. I still really like it though.
But the reason I’m posting is because Delroy Lindo. Wow he was good in that episode. I actually made a bold prediction right before I started the show that he would get nominated, and now I feel even more confident.
If I remember, Season 2 becomes really awesome after episode 6.June 28, 2018 at 8:43 pm #1202576071This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.June 28, 2018 at 8:47 pm #1202576075
I hope you love The Good Wife too, it’s so good.June 28, 2018 at 9:46 pm #1202576089
Okay so I finished and I have a few things to say about both seasons
- Rose Leslie is good but her accent is really bad
- Sarah Steele is hilarious
- Delroy Lindo steals the show and would be worthy of an Emmy win
- Why didn’t Christine Baranski given more screentime? She needs more. She doesn’t make my lineup because it’s so crowded but nonetheless she is great. Her downward spiral was very hard to watch.
- McDonald was fantastic and would be a great Emmy nominee.
- Martindale, Alda, and Martin are all worthy of guest nominations. Especially Martin who was hilarious.
- This was one of the funniest dramas I’ve seen in a while. It was absolutely hysterical. The writers were especially great at comedy in regards to race related matters. Seeing Marissa on stand using the African American argument in season 1 was hilarious.
- I loved the politics. Normally I don’t enjoy such blatant politics in television but I think TGF handles it in a tasteful and extremely entertaining way.
- The best episodes for me were 464, 471, and 485. Especially 471.
- I loved how they handled Diane’s marriage. They handled that so perfectly.
I really liked this season and I will be back. I am glad it got TCA nominated and I hope it spikes at the Emmys (which I am predicting and have been since before I watched the show. I will be bingeing the original very soon.
Agree with all your points, specially about Rose Leslie and Baranski. She is outstanding and give a great performance, but always seem she don’t have enough time on screen.
And you need watch The Good Wife!June 28, 2018 at 11:35 pm #1202576133
If it were up to me, “The Good Fight” and Christine Baranski would be winning this year’s Emmy race… I’m praying it gets noms plus I would love to see noms for Sarah Steele, Cush Jumbo, Delroy Lindo, Jane Lynch, Alan Alda (I think he’s definitely in), Margo Martindale and the hilarious Andrea Martin. And if it’s not nominated for Casting, I may jump out a window… Just a brilliant insightful, timely and important show that is exquisitely executed.November 7, 2018 at 1:37 pm #1202670506
The Good Fight has started production on Season 3 and has added Michael Sheen as a series regular! He’s joining as a Roy Cohn-esque lawyer, per TVLine:
