Athough it’s a good score I didn’t expect it go below 80. At least not this year.

Trailer is out. TMMM S3 Two words: A. Mazing.

God I was wavering on this show but that trailer looks pretty epic.

Little nit-picky but the reason American comedy can sometimes be too schticky: Midge’s self-explanatory “I did” after her dad’s “you should go into comedy” is totally unneccessary and assumes the audience is stupid. A well-edited cut to her or her mum’s face would be funnier, that’s what a British comedy would have done, or something like Veep possibly. Like, we know she did, we’ve been watching for 2 seasons. This type of comedy writing the TV equivalent of the shouty American stand-up comedian.

The entire back & fourth about Murray and Fring had me in stitches.

This was a great season but it lacked in comparison to the first two seasons, in y opinion.

Too bad Sterling K. Brown, Cary Elwes, and Jane Lynch won’t be able to compete in guest, all three would’ve been amazing and very deserving nominees. I don’t see Lynch joining Borstein and Hinkle in Supporting Actress, unfortunately, as much as she deserves to. Borstein has really, really great episodes and moments but I guess the face-off with Lynch should be able to get her the third Emmy for this role. Brown could’ve won with “Panty Pose” or the season finale, that episode 6 cameo ruined his chances but oh well he’ll probably gather a comedy ensemble SAG for it, so not that sad after all.

The chemistry between Luke Kirby and Brosnahan is off the charts. Kirby has another great episode that can easily make him repeat but he’ll face internal competition cause Zachary Levi is amazing too. Jason Alexander was a surprise addition (I haven’t seen any news about his involvement) and his chemistry with Shalhoub was really great. A part of me wishes he would get his overdue Emmy but the role just wasn’t enough. Unfortunately, the same applies to Liza Weil’s role too she had a cute moment at the hotel but it wasn’t enough. Still hoping she gets a nomination, less deserving actresses have been nominated.

Brosnahan was as amazing as always. I hope she wins again and I’ll be really disappointed if she doesn’t.

Amy Sherman-Palladino should hands-down win writing and directing the “It’s Comedy or Cabbage” episode but I think she’ll submit “A Jewish Girl Walks Into the Apollo…” for both and she’d still be deserving of Directing Emmy for this. Don’t get me wrong the writing was also good on this episode but it was a tad predictable, I can see another writing snub if they go with this.

Already looking forward to next season, I’m very curious to see how they’ll deal with Kennedy’s election and death.

“Strike Up the Band”, “It’s the Sixties, Man!”, and “Panty Pose” were good but not great. My grade: A
BUT “Hands!”, “It’s Comedy or Cabbage”, “Kind of Bleu”, “Marvelous Radio”, and “A Jewish Girl Walks Into the Apollo…” were perfection. A+ for those.
Brosnahan again is Emmy worthy as is Lynch, Kirby, Brown, and my fav performance all season was Borsetein who just never fails to make me laugh.

Will the 2020 SAGs and Globes be looking at MMM season 2 or 3?

I’ve only seen one episode of this season (sorry, Marriage Story is the film I had been looking forward to the entire year). I loved seasons 1 and 2. So far, season 3 is great fun. But it’s Tony Shalhoub and, to a degree, Marin Hinkle who killed it in this episode. Shalhoub will win another Emmy for this season. He’s hilarious and has so much more depth than your average supporting actor in a comedy contender.

    Season 3.

I don’t see Levi as competition. Kirby’s performance is in a class of its own. He could very well repeat his Emmy win.

“Comedy or Cabbage” is their WGA nommed ep, and it should be ASP’s submission in writing and directing. Best ep of the season.

I agree Kirby was a lot better but Levi’s meltdown in the finale was fun to see, which is why I think it could pose a more serious threat than Rufus Sewell did last year.

I agree, it deserves to win based on what I saw so far. However, the finale was ambitious so I can see her submitting that too. Too bad Daniel Palladino didn’t write/direct one of those episodes both would’ve been fantastic nominees.

Overall, I enjoyed Season 3, even if it wasn’t as great as the first two seasons. I enjoyed seeing them out on tour in Vegas and Miami. I agree that the end of this season was predictable… and sad (poor girl).

I think Rachel deserves a 2nd Emmy and Alex a 3rd for her stellar performance.

And I think the show will increase its acting noms count:

    In contention…

    Guest Actor:
    Zachary Levi
    Jason Alexander
    Luke Kirby

    Guest Actress:
    Liza Weil
    Wanda Sykes

    Supporting Actor:
    Tony Shalhoub
    Sterling K Brown

    Supporting Actress:
    Alex Borsetein
    Marin Hinkle
    Jane Lynch
    Stephanie Hsu

I’m only on episode three right now but IMDB says that both of these two are only in four episodes, wouldn’t they be guest eligible then?

They are on 4 episodes but that makes 50% of the season so they are not eligible.
