I fell out at the Jonah part! Cannot wait!March 13, 2017 at 2:40 pm #1202036117
I was intrigued into how they were going to handle the fact that Selina is no long President let alone the Veep, but from what I seen in this trailer, they are gonna pull it off.
Choo, choo, it’s JLD coming in for her 6th consecutive win.March 13, 2017 at 2:51 pm #1202036130
This season looks as good as ever, I’m so excited! “so saddle up those emphysema tanks you inbred cousin fuckers” lol Amy is my favorite. Chlumsky would be my pick to finally win the Emmy if Judith Light hadn’t been so extraordinary this year.
Or Kate McKinnon.March 13, 2017 at 2:57 pm #1202036132
Whoa, I was taken aback by the lack of hair on Jonah’s head, wasn’t expecting that (I wonder how many insults will be hurled towards him as a result).
Can’t wait to see how similar this storyline is to our real-life political realm, especially when David Mandel made a point of saying the storylines were written before the election.
Also, I hope JLD is preparing what kind of comedic bit she’s going to do when she wins Veep Emmy #6, because she’s definitely going to win again.March 13, 2017 at 3:06 pm #1202036140
Never again. She has hers, she shouldn’t get another one. She is the only funny one from SNL so I give her props for that. I think she’ll probably win again though.
I won’t have a problem if she wins again, since she basically has been the main cast member writing the funny sketches, but I hope Anna Chlumsky finally wins. Tim Simons also deserves to be at least nominated, especially after his work throughout season 5.March 13, 2017 at 7:13 pm #1202036254
The trailer is reassuring Veep as we’ve known it isn’t radically altered despite the new circumstance of our protagonist.March 14, 2017 at 8:02 pm #1202037140
^ Fingers crossed! Although even if Veep bombs and Silicon Valley leads in nominations, the pundits will still proclaim black-ish as the Atlanta alternative.March 14, 2017 at 8:40 pm #1202037171This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.March 20, 2017 at 3:13 am #1202041223
So what is Selina now? I think they should have finished it with season 5. That ending would have been a terrific finale. I am so confused, is she part of Montez’s cabinet or will she turn into a lobbyist or is she just going to become a humanitarian and bide her time until the next election. Last season they went through every possible event that could happen after an election, so I’m wondering if there will be an assassination, impeachment or recount. HBO has kept this under wrap well.March 20, 2017 at 3:47 pm #1202041786This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.April 11, 2017 at 3:49 pm #1202063665
Collider: Veep’s humor is at its best when it comes out a place of desperation, and Season 6 is filled with it.
Newsday: In TV terms, we call this a re-set, but in Veep terms, it’s genius. HBO offered three episodes for review, which seen together play like a movie–the funniest movie you will have seen all year, maybe next year, too.
93 on Metacritic with 4 reviews.April 11, 2017 at 7:04 pm #1202063770
I need Sam Richardson to come thru for that Emmy nomination, and by reading some of these reviews and the shows new focus, it may just happen.
