Delightful return. Mullally just blistered it on “The Man That Got Away”. The episode had an unusual structure where most scenes were twenty seconds or less and cross-cut between the two stories effectively so that nearly every line was a punch line. They really do push the envelope on some of those jokes to hilarious effect, too.
With this and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (which is having an A+ season of its own) now back-to-back, NBC has the best hour of comedy on network TV.February 1, 2019 at 2:33 pm #1202758378
This is without a question their best season yet. It deserves all the awards in the world. If Mullally once again gets robbed I’m gonna be snowflake offended.February 2, 2019 at 11:20 am #1202759138
this most recent episode was hilarious and those special effects must have cost a fortune for a half-hour sitcom. One thing that continues to bother me is Mary McCormick as Grace’s sister, she just isn’t Geena Davis.February 2, 2019 at 9:04 pm #1202759491
This week was absolutely hysterical. One of the best of the reboot. Megan Mullally was hilarious and a little heartbreaking. This season has been so good!February 15, 2019 at 10:28 am #1202777380
Catching up on past episodes now. The one where Will, Jack, and Karen trip out on spiked chocolate milk was really funny. Kinda took me out of things when Karen was doing her cabaret number and was Megan Mullally on stage and not Karen Walker. I’m over the “power lesbians” crutch the show uses over and over again, but Chelsea Handler did okay with that, I guess. Mary McCormack playing Grace’s sister is still odd to me. I thought that the conceit of Estefan and Karen hating each other was great, b/c of course those two would hate each other. Once again, Sean Hayes proves why he does physical comedy better than just about everyone in the game right now. Could have done without Will and Grace’s silliness with Will’s boss, but still. I’ll get to the remaining episodes as they unlock.February 21, 2019 at 7:33 pm #1202784437
Tonight’s episode wasn’t my favorite, but it was still good. I liked the Grace and Karen scenes the best.
I really hope all four actors get Emmy nominations and the show gets in for best comedy series.February 22, 2019 at 11:54 am #1202785199
I have been a fan of this show since day 1, and they really exceeded my wildest expectations upon return.February 26, 2019 at 5:48 pm #1202796432
I’ve been curious why Sean Hayes hasn’t picked up any nominations for this reboot; the other three cast members have gotten various nod but oddly Hayes has been absent from nominations when he’s had some very strong material to pick from.February 26, 2019 at 6:36 pm #1202796537

Sean Hayes received a SAG nomination last year.
I do agree that Hayes should have received more nominations and would have been a worthy Emmy nominee last year. This is why the SNL actors should not be nominated in the supporting categories at the Emmys – constantly cluttering and taking up space in the categories.February 26, 2019 at 10:07 pm #1202796814
Thank you for reminding me about his SAG nomination. I often forget about SAG awards all-together, It just seemed odd to me that he didn’t get any Golden Globe or Emmy nods.February 28, 2019 at 6:49 am #1202798734
Matt Bomer and Molly Shannon are guest starring on tonight’s episode. I love Val!February 28, 2019 at 12:49 pm #1202799148
The episode with Grace’s and Jack’s weight challenge was a hoot. I like seeing novel pairings like this with Grace/Jack and Will/Karen. The stepdaughter plot was okay, I guess. When characters are brought in out of the blue like that, I’m not as interested or invested. But the moot court “Judge Judy” scenes had their moments, and I enjoyed the ending.March 1, 2019 at 7:21 pm #1202800912
Molly Shannon is always a hoot on Will & Grace. I thought that her appearance last season was stronger and worthy of the Emmy win. I do think that she could be nominated this year.March 2, 2019 at 2:21 am #1202801151
Matt Bomer was sooooo much better than his first appearanceMarch 2, 2019 at 1:31 pm #1202801463
Matt Bomer is my life right now! He is a great addition to the cast and I could see him eventually being a permanent cast member, sort of how Bobby Cannavale or Harry Connick Jr was in the past. I also want to see more of David Schwimmer as Noah, he’s a hoot.
