    Ellie Goulding recorded an original song titled “Here’s to Us” that played in the Girls episode “The Panic in Central Park”.

    The music branch previously nominated The Spoils of Babylon for title theme for “The Spoils of Babylon“. Original songs in the companion miniseries The Spoils Before Dying include “Booze and Pills” and “That’s Me Without You“, both sung by Kristen Wiig.

    Bob Fosse was the first to win three of the major awards in 1973. I don’t know if anyone’s done it since but Fosse won the Tony for Pippin, Oscar for Cabaret and Emmy for Liza with a Z. That’s quite impressive but even more impressive is that Lin will have a great chance at winning the Oscar next february as well as the other awards. Also Lin has won the Pulitzer as well

    What about “Can You Spare a Dollar for a Hero” from Special Correspondents? The song was decent and played a big part in the film.

    After this week, I’m expecting multiple nominations in this category for Empire. The music has really been stellar this season. C’mon TV Academy!

    ^ Honestly the song selection for Galavant this year wasn’t as strong as the last year. Not saying the songs were awful, but none were really “awards-worthy” to me, except for I think “What Am I Feeling” from episode 4.

    May the best of your todays be the worst of your tomorrows.

    As long as these 3 songs make it in, I’m good;

    “The F Word” from Shameless
    “Lost in a Crowd” from Empire
    “Chasing The Sky” from Empire
