Love the double nominations for Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad! Also good on Homeland for landing some nominations. SAd that Parks and Rec. didn’t get a nod for best episode, but the inclusion “Caught in the Act” and “Queen of Jordan” makes up for that blow. I would say something about Veena “Shit Don’t Stank” Sud, but by my initial statement, it would be redundant.

And the PGA nods are expected across the board. I could’ve done w/o that Dexter nod though.

And it seems that The Good Wife will now be the official “network” nominee, until something comes along to be on par w/cable, which this show tries, but are constraint by the power of the CBS.

Good stuff from both awards body.

The WGA nominations are amazing. Homeland, TGW, Breaking Bad, 30 Rock, Louie (even though i havent watched the seond season yet), Episodes, New Girl, Parks and Rec, Mildred Pierce…and “Queen of Jordan”? (I think I cried tears of happiness when I saw that inclusion) The 4 nominations for the Simpsons seem like much though.

Yeah…the WGA got it right IMO.

What is the eligibility period for the PGA? I am wondering how Mad Men qualified. Hasn’t it been off the air for over a year?

The WGA and SOMETIMES the SAG are the only award-givers who almost annually get the nominations right. Winners too sometimes.

I love the Best Comedy nominations for “Louie” and “Parks and Recreation” but I think they deserved individual episode slots too, over “PDA” from “The Office” and “Mother’s Day” from “Modern Family.”

Still saddened by thhe laziness.  Modern Family and Glee?  Come on, now.  I’ll even let MF slide, but Glee?  Still?

I don’t understand how Mother’s Day got an individual nod. Probably because it was the first episode if MF where somebody cries.

Just noticed the Glee nod. They better give it to Parks and Rec just to make up for that one.

These are really good nominees. The PGA nominees are how they were expected to be. At least the Dexter episode that was nominated for writing was the best one for the show this season. The Homeland nominations are great. I am surprised at which Homeland episode they nominated though, but it is still awesome. It is a little puzzling that The Office has two episodes nominated in writing without getting a series nomination. Nice to see CYE get a series nomination from the WGA. The voters really did a good job overall.

Yes, Glee is too much. I thought awards shows were over it already
