Bodyguard submitted the pilot for directing and editing at BAFTA, so I suspect that it will submit the same episode for writing at the Emmys instead of the finale that is being recommended here. The pilot is also what Netflix has been screening at its Bodyguard FYC events.

I recommend whichever they submit for Bodyguard – Episode 1 seems more likely based on what @riley wrote. In any case, all 6 episodes are brilliant and Jed Mercurio is one of the most beloved and acclaimed writers here in the UK. He deserves to be considered for a nomination.

We’re All BeastsThe Deuce written by Megan Abbott & Stephani DeLuca

An episode with a perfect balance of grim tone and delightful scenes. credit to the writers. Fro the series as a whole, it also pushes the character arcs forward.

Thank you all for your contributions to helping me winnow down the best drama scripts of the year.  If anyone else has one favorite script that you’d like to have considered, please let me know here because I’ve started screening and would love to consider all be best stuff.  Thanks!

    Counterpart – “Twin Cities”

A sort of self-contained episode that dives into the origins of the show’s science fiction phenomena. It’s pretty potent whether you’ve seen the show or not.

So, I was having trouble picking an episode because drama has really just been dogcrap this year. In the past, it’s usually comedy I have trouble picking things for but this year it has been drama. Then I saw as I was making my predictions in the prediction center that Sex Education was submitting drama. And that’s probably been my favorite show of 2019 so far (that or Barry) so I will suggest the ‘pilot’ of Sex Education – Episode #1.1… there might be better episodes but pilots always get submit so it feels like a natural choice for them.

Sex Education – Episode #1.1 final answer
