for some reason, it says I voted for Nicole when I dont think i click to vote anyone. But Reese surprised me more than Nicole, so I actually prefer Reese. I feel like I’ve seen Nicole do this kind of role multiple times and her accent was going in an out alot that I got annoyed with her and her character.

She has never had similar role to this.

Kidman does some career best work here, and I think she’s at least one of the 5 best actresses of her generation. She should win the Emmy.
Maybe you should find a better and more meaningful dream… Witherspoon was amazing, really incredible.

Acting is not your thing.

The accent thing bothered me, too. But not too much. Even though Nicole was great, Reese nailed it, so she gets my vote.

You guys do know she’s American, right?

shes born in Hawaii but moved back to Aussie with her family until she was in her 20s I believe when she moved to Hollywood. But still that accent is dreadful if she was born and raised in the US.

Reese is definitely better in the first few episodes. But Nicole’s overall performance was better even though her accent was a tragedy. She sounds better when she’s whispering.

For all we know her character is originally from Australia, or Taipei, or Worcester. We don’t know that much of her backstory, so why bother trying to say that her accent is the problem? If she were playing Joan Crawford or Bette Davis, that’s when her accent would be shit and you can say that.

Because we could tell what she was trying to do and she fell short such that it was a distraction.
