Seeming we have one for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie already how about one for Best Actress in a Drama Series. A category that is arguably just as competitive as the former.

    Here’s my ranking :

    1. Claire Foy, The Crown
    2. Elisabeth Moss, The Handmaid’s Tale
    3. Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife (S5)
    4. Tatiana Maslany, Orphan Black
    5. Jodie Comer, Killing Eve
    6. Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife (S2)
    7. Viola Davis, How to Get Away with Murder
    8. Claire Danes, Homeland (S1)
    9. Claire Danes, Homeland (S2)
    10. Kyra Sedgwick, The Closer

FYC Emmys : THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, SUCCESSION AND THE CROWN IN ALL CATEGORIES. Tony Shalhoub ("Maisel"), Cate Blanchett ("Mrs. America"), Matthew Macfadyen, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook ("Succession"), Tracey Ullman ("Mrs. America") and Louis Gossett Jr. ("Watchmen")

There is no way in hell I can rank these winners. What an amazing batch of winners. That said, my ultimate choice will come as no surprise (I found the site because I was looking up her chances):

To be honest apart from Sedgwick I found all the winners (apart from Kyra Sedgwick) to have delivered some of the best performances on television ever!

And if I might add some that weren’t rewarded this decade but were nominated at the Emmys :

    Connie Britton, Nashville
    Glenn Close, Damages
    Taraji P. Henson, Empire
    Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men
    Keri Russell, The Americans

FYC Emmys : THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, SUCCESSION AND THE CROWN IN ALL CATEGORIES. Tony Shalhoub ("Maisel"), Cate Blanchett ("Mrs. America"), Matthew Macfadyen, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook ("Succession"), Tracey Ullman ("Mrs. America") and Louis Gossett Jr. ("Watchmen")

I’m not sure how’d I rank all these performances, but I know I’d put Kyra Sedgwick as #1, with Julianna Margulies as #2, and then Claire Danes and Elisabeth Moss next.

Not sure which season’s tape was better for Julianna Margulies. In Season 2, her tape was the episode where she got dressed while listening to rock music (one of the best scenes of the series), and had the breakdown with her daughter. And then in Season 5, she submitted “The Last Call,” in which that final scene broke me.

Sedgwick is number one because she was always aces on “The Closer,” had one heck of an episode submission (and consistently had great tapes), and it was a deserving win after losing so many times. Writing this makes me miss Brenda!

IMO Margulies should have won for season 1, 2 and 5. And if she was nominated for season 6 and 7 then she should have won for both. She was the Bryan Cranston of this category!

From what I’ve seen Danes and Moss are my favorite.

    4. Tatiana Maslany

    5. Jodie Comer

    6. Claire Foy
