JULIA GARNER YES!!!December 12, 2018 at 7:16 am #1202698782
Apparently voters are quite sentimental towards comedies with elderly people. The Kominsky Method does not strike me as an Emmy nominee for comedy series.December 12, 2018 at 7:18 am #1202698798
No love for Homecoming? Seriously? I know there are SAG members here, Seriously guys?December 12, 2018 at 7:18 am #1202698803
In longform, Criss should complete the sweep, especially with this competition (Bill Pullman? Really?), while Adams should definitely win the female prize with no Dern or King among the nominees.
In drama, this Rhys goodbye thing finally came to a stop, so I suspect Brown repeats, but am shocked at Krasinski’s inclusion (what a great morning in that house!), especially since new shows like Homecoming weren’t included. I am really sad that Newton and Westworld were left out here, but, truer to form, it appears to be because the second season of Ozark managed to pick up nominations.
And in comedy, OITNB finally drops out in a big way, with Maisel doing the second season discovery in a big way, going from zero to four nominations and the bigger surprise to me being Arkin and Douglas included in addition to the ensemble, so I guess this really is now something to watch for at next year’s Emmys.December 12, 2018 at 7:18 am #1202698804
Julia Garner recognised once again! She was magnificent! I’m so happy! Emmys next stop. The Globes will regret big time for snubbing her.
LMAO at Patricia Clarkson? Name-check af both Globes & Here, she did nothing in SO, only Amy deserves attention from that show, and that to the point of nominations, not wins. I can’tDecember 12, 2018 at 7:20 am #1202698809
Happy that Hugh Grant got nominated but otherwise these were a messDecember 12, 2018 at 7:21 am #1202698816
So they love The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and OzarkDecember 12, 2018 at 7:22 am #1202698826
Poor THOHH. They really flopped with their Best Drama and not limited strategy.December 12, 2018 at 7:24 am #1202698837
they are doing this season of westworld DIRTYDecember 12, 2018 at 7:26 am #1202698843
The SAG doesn’t have time to watch much TV these days I’m guessing? It’s mostly the same shows in the main categories.December 12, 2018 at 7:27 am #1202698848
Matthew Rhys>>>>>> Joseph Fiennes
Every woman on Handmaid’s Tale >>>>>>> Joseph Fiennes
Nick on Handmaid’s Tale> Fiennes?December 12, 2018 at 7:27 am #1202698849
HBO should be glad that Westworld’s second season did not air this fall.December 12, 2018 at 7:27 am #1202698852
Well, I just saw SAG’s version of the last 3 seconds of the 1972 Munich Olympics men’s basketball gold medal game when the Russians stole the gold from the U.S.. Pure, out and out robbery. Complete with a Brinks truck.
Who the F watches Grace and Frankie anymore besides the relatives of those who make the show? Since when do SUPPORTING performancss count in lead acting roles? An absolute, shambolic shirtshow farce of a nominations. F Maisel, F Kominsky. The top of the worst.
The bias against The Good Place remains strong and is still deep-seeded. They have every right to be as pissed as their fans are right now.
Wow.December 12, 2018 at 7:33 am #1202698874
The Americans got ensemble nom, but not even Rhys got in. Still they picked Fiennes and Krasinski over him. lmaooo They obviously love Amazon + Netflix, and they do watch THT. (Or just copied the Emmys)
