    Jharrel looked pissed.

    As he should.

you obviously love GOT BLL and THT and they’re all very well performed but to say the crown is undeserving isn’t fair. It’s nothing if not remarkably well acted and to me this season is particularly worthy because it rests less on the shoulders of the its lead performer and is more of an ensemble.

It’s my opinion. So I can say what I want 😉 It’s a great ensemble, but there were better ones – IMO

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

Okay so what I think this all means for the Emmys:

    – STRONG support for Aniston from the actors, this might not mean that they love the show overall but at least that they like Aniston a lot, I don’t think TMS is being nominated anywhere else but Aniston is probably now a lock

    – The Crown has a lot of support, not convinced that it’ll overtake Succession, but this just confirms its strength

    – Maisel will still be fine at the Emmys next year, and unless the production-oriented voters decide to draw support (which they won’t because that show is production pornography), it’ll probably be an easy repeat win for series

    – I don’t think anyone thought that Crowe was going to be a big thing but this just confirms it, he might grab a nom but he’ll be lucky to get just that

    – This is worrying for Big Little Lies, passion definitely seems to be fading and it’s another long sixth months to keep up buzz and momentum (and with a season three announcement very unlikely for the near future, I don’t know what will keep them a part of the conversation)

    – After failing at the guilds, Stranger Things is also in the same situation, season four will be filming from now until August, but Netflix had better get ready to release tons of promo pics or a very early trailer during May

    – Continues to prove that Emmys are by far the most prone to passion picks

    – I wouldn’t be worried about Comer, Maslany didn’t have a great track record at other awards but the Emmys kept her around and it’s very rare for the Emmys to drop someone right after a win

    – The comedy acting categories are still VERY open to surprises

They had the opportunity to have the entire BLL cast on stage, or bid farewell to Game of Thrones, or have the fierce Handmaid’s cast on stage, but they chose the Crown? Really? Sorry, I know you all stan that show, but it’s so overhyped at this point that I can barely even root for it anymore.

Overhyped?! Cmon… I really really like you Luca but this comment was a bit arrogant. This win for ensemble was like only the second award the show has won this awards season. The performances in it are absolutely outstanding and like someone already said this season felt truly ensemble-ish. And apart from Stranger Things, all the shows in contention for ensemble were competing for their worst season. The Crown deserved it. Period. All of the shows deserved it really. This was also their first win for ensemble. Be a bit nice.

I do find TC to be a bit overhyped at this point, which IMO has manifested in the way many have perceived this season.

Anyway, I’m just venting. Instant reactions of mine should never be taken seriously. But I should be allowed to say if I don’t think it deserved to win. People spit on so many shows here all the time, so TC should be held to the same standard.

But it’s just an award anyway, so let’s not get worked up about it (note to myself, too).

So happy for The Crown cast! First win of a top prize for the show too! Would have been happier if Olivia and Tobias were there but some affirmation that not everybody hates the cast change lol. Helena being so excited about the win was very sweet.

Also Olivia Colman finally gets her SAG after 4 tries! It is kind of scary how well she senses when she is not winning and doesn’t turn up though.

Jennifer freaking Aniston. I am so so so so happy.

(Also, yay for The Crown even if I wish you had been Big Little Lies)

I feel you. But the way you expressed yourself seemed like The Crown was  one of the worst winners possible. And that’s just not true. It’s an incredible cast. I understand you preferred BLL, GoT and THT but the truth is that they received worst reviews than The Crown season 3. And that is saying much considering this season was a huge let down.

Only 4 of the winners matched who I voted for this year: Jennifer, Michelle, Avengers and Parasite. I don’t know what these other voters were thinking. Sam over Jharrel? No! I voted for Lopez over Dern too. These people really love Laura.

So Game of Thrones won, but lost to The Crown, which lost to The Morning Show. I am glad that I predicted Jennifer Aniston, but I never could have predicted this combination. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is a head-scratcher. It lacks passion, but is also fully here to scoop up wins by default, which contrasts how losing usually correlated with a steep feline in momentum.

So happy for The Crown cast! First win of a top prize for the show too!

They got the Globe for the first season.

Oops second top prize win then.

I do wonder if TC would have taken actress if there wasnt internal competition though; it was liked enough to squeeze 2 nominations in a stacked category which resulted in a few crazy big name snubs (Kidman, Meryl, even Dern).

So pleased and ecstatic with The Crown finally winning the Drama Ensemble prize, just too bad not many from the cast attended (unlike during season 1). It also goes to show that the win is a big (expletive deleted) to the haters! SUCK IT UP, BUTTERCUPS! Nothing one can do about it. One just has to get on with it.

P.S. So all it takes for Charles Dance to win his SAG TV Ensemble is to be in The Crown. Poor Game of Thrones…ehem.

    FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
