ReplyCopy URLLOS ANGELES (Jan. 28, 2021) – Lily Collins (Emily in Paris, MANK) and Daveed Diggs (Snowpiercer, BLINDSPOTTING, The Good Lord Bird) will announce the nominees for the 27th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®on Thursday, February 4th on an Instagram Live, producers for the SAG Awards announced today. The nominations will be announced exclusively via an Instagram Live, with Daveed Diggs on @sagawards and Lily Collins on @lilyjcollins beginning at 8 a.m. (PT).
SAG Awards nominations have never before been presented solely via a Live social media platform. The SAG Awards is utilizing the innovation that social media channels like Instagram have achieved in providing an accessible platform for people to share their stories and stay up-to-date with current events. SAG Awards’ aim is to create an authentic connection with their audience by reinventing the Nominations Announcement into a seamless, virtual experience for both the nominees and fans.
Nominations will be kicked off at 7:50 a.m. PT on @sagawards’ Instagram Stories with an introduction by SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris. Uzo Aduba is a tour de force at the SAG, I’m not predicting her, but won’t be surprised if she gets in.
