Ted Lasso could very well pull a Maisel s2 at the winter awards winning for its principal lead at the Globes, for its principal lead, Series, and principal supporting player at CC and sweep all three SAG categories. The hype is REAL.

    Oscars FYC:
"Shiva Baby" – in all categories especially Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Score
"Together" – in all categories especially Actress (Sharon Horgan), Actor (James McAvoy), Original Screenplay
"CODA" – in all categories especially Supporting Actor (Troy Kotsur)
"Everybody's Talking About Jamie" – Supporting Actor (Richard E. Grant), Supporting Actress (Sarah Lancashire)
"I'm Your Man" – International Feature
"Summer of Soul" – Documentary Feature

If you subscribe to the LA Times, you’re in for a Ted Lasso treat: an entire newspaper section covering the people and team, written by The Independent’s Trent Crimm. If you don’t subscribe, you can still take a look: https://enewspaper.latimes.com/desktop/latimes/default.aspx?pubid=50435180-e58e-48b5-8e0c-236bf740270e LA Times Ted Lasso section

Now thats what I like to call, good promotion.

Yes but they usually don’t nominate first seasons that aired close to the noms. Not even TMS or Mrs Maisel were nominated.

I think unless Corrin gets snubbed that SAG is probably Linney’s to lose.

Hamilton is eligible as a TV movie at SAG. It will not be eligible in any categories at the Oscars.

I’m okay with the Oscars decision but I don’t see the point of having it compete as a TV Movie at SAG.

Have a great day if you see this!

I would’ve immediately predicted “Hamilton” for a film ensemble nomination, but since no limited series/TV movie ensemble category exists, I could maybe see Lin-Manuel Miranda snag an individual nomination.

Thanks for the scoop, Chris! I suspect this means that Hamilton will end up going the pre-recorded variety special route at the Emmys. The Globe placement stands out now, but HFPA often goes its own way.

Does this mean it’ll Emmy eligible as a TV movie too?
