Yes, except these. Schitt’s Creek won’t go home unnoticed. I think Dan Levy can snatch the Comedy Actor while the rest of the casts is awarded with ensemble. Or at least ensemble award.
O’Hara will win and the two Levys will split.

I feel like Schitt’s Creek will have the same hurdles that The Handmaid’s Tale, Jharrel Jerome and many other contenders have faced here in the sense that voters will get quite fatigued. Ted Lasso on the other hand is the shiny new thing.
Schitt’s Creek obviously will get lots of support but I feel like it’s probably likelier to win ensemble than Actor and Actress. People underestimate the fact that Annie Murphy and Eugene Levy will get a lot of votes. I think Murphy in particular will eat a lot into O’Hara’s votes like Henry Winkler ate into Bill Hader’s votes so I am predicting that either Cuoco (an actress from a popular show that SAG loved and is playing against the type) or Waddingham (the borderline co-lead in a feel good show that will do well this awards season) will win à la Shalhoub. Sudeikis at this point is so well set up for a sweep that I don’t even think he needs a split between the Levys to win.
I’m glad someone else is also predicting Blanchett to win. I feel like we might have a repeat of last year where Ruffalo pulls off a Williams type sweep and Blanchett wins as the film star in their first television role and a transformative one where she plays a real person à la Rockwell.

I don’t see either losing at all.

I’m not sure they’re locks for wins, but definitely locks for nominations, but I think it just depends on how strong Ted Lasso is. I think O’Hara will win but Ensemble is a two-hander between Schitt’s and Ted Lasso.
Have a great day if you see this!

January 31, 2021 at 9:56 am #1204010904I don’t see how (unless you’re maybe Jason Sudeikis) you can be a lock to win an award at SAG of all places before nominations are even announced.

January 31, 2021 at 9:57 am #1204010906Cancel this if Sudeikis doesn’t win over Dan Levy’s lack of acting skills.

Because Schitt’s Creek won four acting Emmys and got two noms at SAG last year, setting it up perfectly for this year. Ofc it’s not a lock, but I have a hard time seeing it lose either one of ensemble or actress — especially the latter.

This is the dumbest take, but I accept your challenge.
*If we are so fortunate to be nominated in Ensemble*

January 31, 2021 at 2:15 pm #1204011212The same group that awarded Maisel ensemble over Fleabag isn’t going to avoid awarding Schitt’s Creek due to “fatigue”. The two television ensemble categories have probably the most obvious winners of the night.
January 31, 2021 at 3:27 pm #1204011271I’m not sure where the SC fatigue is coming from when it has done well in critics’ top 10 lists and in CC noms.
