I think we are getting 6 nominees. It happened already in 2014 so there is a precedence. 3 The Crown, 2 Ozark and either Paulson or Comer/Oh. As I said before there will still be a large portion of voters that won’t simply vote for 3 TC and 2 Ozark because they have other favs elsewhere, making someone else happening. Most of you are predicting Killing Eve in ensemble so you can’t believe Comer and Oh are that far behind.

I do think this is possible.

I understand the Westworld comparisons with Killing Eve in terms of SAG performance but I just simply am having trouble seeing Jodie Comer miss here. I think at worst she’s 7th. She’s like the Margot Robbie of television in the sense that she’s amassed a lot of respect in the industry, has a lot of films coming up next year (one of which she’s being tipped to be Oscar nominated for) and Killing Eve is just an incredibly popular programme (at least internationally).

I lowkey wonder whether Colman misses yet. I thought she was great in episodes 3 and 4 but I can see a situation where voters feel like they’re already awarding her for The Father so they decide to focus voting for Corrin and Anderson. At the moment I think Anderson is the safest out of The Crown ladies as she has the type of performance SAG voters gravitate towards, is a household name and when she’s in a show that does well at SAG she gets nominated (see SAG nominating her long after the Emmys dropped her for The X-Files and also awarding her twice).

It is worth mentioning though that unlike the Globes the eligibility for SAG is also extended on the TV side to the end of February. Don’t be surprised if one of the networks schedules one of their Winter/Spring contending dramas for then.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

I think it will probably be Colman, Anderson, Linney, Garner, and Comer/Paulson. Not really buying Corrin getting in over so many lead performances.

Anyone else predicting Gillian to get double nods (along with Colman whose locked for both nods).

    EMMY FYC

The Crown in all categories (inc. Olivia Colman & Gillian Anderson)

I May Destroy You, It’s a Sin, Stateless & The Queens Gambit

Kate Winslet, Keeley Hawes, Shaun Parkes, Marielle Heller, Michaela Coel

Ted Lasso & The Flight Attendant in all categories.

I’m not predicting her to get in for Sex Ed but I wouldn’t be surprised if the show itself got into ensemble. It is after all a Netflix show.

But if Anderson does get in for Sex Ed there’s a real possibility she wins the Emmy for that imo instead of The Crown. In fact whomever gets the 5th slot at SAG regardless of who it is (I’m predicting Rae at the moment) has a good chance of winning Actress like Tony Shalhoub won Actor in 2019. With Anderson in particular I think if she gets in and wins (neither of which I’m predicting) for Sex Ed I can see her winning the Emmy for Sex Ed as a kind of unofficial award for both Sex Ed and The Crown and as a welcome back to the club kind of thing because if she gets in at the Emmys for it (which is a strong possibility when you look at how Ann Dowd got in for The Leftovers and Jason Bateman got in for The Outsider) then I think she can benefit from a potential four way SNL vote-split and a two way Ted Lasso vote-split.

So evidently Unorthodox is not eligible for SAG Awards consideration:

I guess it makes sense. The leads are foreign actors and not part of the union, at least not when it got shot.

So Parasite cast was part of the union?

I may be wrong, but I think since Unorthodox is an american show they should have been part of SAG to be elegible. Parasite is not an american film, so they didn’t have the obligation of being part of SAG.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

She’s being heavily underestimated here. Her and Kidman and Blanchett are locks imo (unless Let Them All Talk is really bad).

Honestly forgot about Parasite when I typed this lol. I have no idea then.

Elisabeth Olsen for this year’s John Krasinski Jack Ryan type nomination.

Have a great day if you see this!

    FYC: Ted Lasso
