I binged the first two seasons and I thought it was ok. The second season was better than the first. The season 2 finale was good and the best episode but not amazing. Dan Levy and O’Hara are the only ones who give Emmy nom worthy performances IMO. I also watched the season 3 premiere and it was good. The show is good but I haven’t laughed out loud yet.June 27, 2017 at 3:46 pm #1202134929
Okay so I’ve just finished binging this and I absolutely love it (particularly the third season). All of the four leads are giving Emmy calibre performances in my opinion, although O’Hara and, to a slightly lesser extent, Daniel Levy are just another level of brilliant. I can’t believe how such a great show with two very well known leads has gone so unnoticed but man I wish that could change. I mean, O’Hara’s performance in ‘New Car’ this season is as good a tape as any you’ll see in Comedy Actress this year.
Obviously there are some issues as with most comedies, namely how both Roland and Bob are each just one joke characters being repeated again and again, but the show’s heart and the strength of the main four really makes these irrelevant.
Overall, cannot wait for the 4th season.June 27, 2017 at 6:19 pm #1202135020
Where are people watching the third season? I only see the first two on Netflix – just catching up. While not groundbreaking, I was looking for another light comedy to add to my lineup and this has some genuinely hilarious moments.
(Small note – not that the show is going for “realism” but the premise could have used just a touch more fleshing out as it pretty much makes zero sense).August 21, 2017 at 2:22 pm #1202191135
I finally finished season 3. It’s enjoyable but not amazing in my opinion. The finale was the best episode they’ve done though and it was really good.January 24, 2018 at 9:05 pm #1202477905
Schitt’s Creek is back. This show needs serious Emmy consideration. Catherine O’Hara should have won an Emmy by now for her hilarious role on this show.January 24, 2018 at 9:28 pm #1202477929
This was the best episode yet. O’Hara was indeed hilarious.February 13, 2018 at 4:20 pm #1202493400
The third season was quite delightful and its funniest yet. I’d nominate this quartet for Emmys like yesterday. I’ll say again that Dan Levy is an absolute revelation here as both an actor and writer. I get you would be naturally funny as Eugene Levy’s son, but not like this. David’s progression so far has been excellent! Greatly looking forward to season 4!February 13, 2018 at 5:05 pm #1202493408
I just recently binged this show and I found it delightful and charming. The cast really elevates the writing and it’s a real joy. Dan Levy is very much a huge discovery here and my favorite part of the show. Annie Murphy is also very deserving of praise, her line delivery is pitch perfect. Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara are, of course, great. Excited for the rest of this current season!February 13, 2018 at 6:36 pm #1202493434
Just finished and am astounded that this show hasn’t broke through at the Emmys the entire ensemble is so good it’s almost not fair. Catherine O’Hara chews up every scene but it’s Annie Murphy this season who has bought a new depth to her character that is literally mind blowing. I hope this show makes it to the EmmysFebruary 15, 2018 at 8:51 pm #1202494762
I’ve just recently started watching. Do Dan Levy and Murphy submit in Lead?

Catherine O’Hara and the rest of the cast deserves Emmy nominations for this show.March 12, 2018 at 8:15 pm #1202512267
The last episode of Schitt’s Creek would make a fantastic episode submission for Dan Levy in Supporting Actor if episode submissions mattered.March 14, 2018 at 6:25 am #1202512949
This whole show is perfection and makes me laugh soooo hard

I will say that Dan Levy deserves to get the Supporting Actor nomination!April 12, 2018 at 4:40 am #1202528365
The season finale was maybe my favorite episode ever. Everything you loved about the show wrapped in one episode. Would almost make a great series finale, but let’s not wish for that. Dan Levy had a massive season (in addition to writing the finale) and would be so deserving of attention but alas…
