This is one of my favorite comedies on TV. I have always loved the chemistry between Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara. Everyone on the show is aces and Dan Levy’s writing definitely deserves recognition.

    Question though…

Is this series eligible for Emmy consideration?? I know its a Canadian production and has been honored by the Director’s Guild of Canada and the Writer’s Guild of Canada. I’m sure even if it is… POP wouldn’t have the budget to give it much of a campaign… sigh.

The season finale was maybe my favorite episode ever. Everything you loved about the show wrapped in one episode. Would almost make a great series finale, but let’s not wish for that. Dan Levy had a massive season (in addition to writing the finale) and would be so deserving of attention but alas…

No need to worry, it’s already been renewed for a fifth season!

Great fourth season and really great season finale! They’re long overdue, but I’d especially support nominations for the quartet after this season.

I am so happy that this show is renewed for a fifth season.

This show should have also been nominated at the SAG Awards.

So shocked that Dan Levy has been nominated for an MTV award. Obviously they mean nothing quality-wise but really shows that this show is now being considered amongst all the mainstream stuff which might be great for its Emmy chances.

This show is the comedy of the year. Poignant, funny and every second entertaining. Having just binged it these past two weeks, I have to say that it was beautiful to watch this show improve upon itself once again after a superb third season. The premiere was a series high for the show in terms of sheer comedy while the finale was just frankly lovely. What a cast. Daniel Levy, Catherine O’Hara and Annie Murphy all KILLED IT not just once but ALL SEASON. These are basically the definition in my opinion of Emmy calibre performances; one second broadly hilarious, the next so sincere and real that you don’t know how to react. I am so glad that this show is growing in popularity and recognition and I hope that continues enough so that maybe in a couple of years time some members of this amazing cast get their names read out on nomination morning.

    Season Grade: A-
    Season MVP: Daniel Levy

PS: The double use of Tina Turner’s ‘The Best’ this season is one of the most memorable music motifs that I can ever think of in a show.

    Yes, over Sean Hayes

The episode where he sings Simply The Best would be an Emmy worthy submission

    Uh, nope!

I agree. Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy give a masterclass in comedy in each episode and should have Emmys for this show.

This show puts a smile on my face and it makes me sad that the cast does not get recognized at The Emmys.
