One of the few things Euphoria is good at is camera movements and visuals, but it feels like they took various real high school scandal headlines and applied all of them to one group of high school kids at one school in one school year. It tries too hard to provoke and shock and it seems to think its quite edgy…its all too much in the face and dramatically forced for me. It felt like they dont really know what they want to point out and what they have to say.

Sex Education can be entertaining here and there, but for me it tries too hard to be witty and quirky, Season 1 was a little better, Season 2 felt as it was mostly filler. The only character that had a little growth this Season was Groff Adam, however the outing scene at the prom was ridiculous. Same as the stereotypical feminist portrayal that is Maeve.

Euphoria by far. It’s visually stunning, the characters are way stronger and more relatable than Sex Education’s. I do agree that the writing of the overall story can be quite iffy sometimes and I’m waiting to see if Season 2 improves that.

Sex Education is funnier though but it’s also a lot more cringeworthy. I enjoyed Season 1 but Season 2 was a disappointment. The characters didn’t evolve much and to me, it’s trying way too hard to be woke while Euphoria does it kind of effortlessly.

I agree with you on SE, but I dont think the characters in Euphoria are much stronger. For example the cartoonish villain that is Nate Jacobs 🙂

Oo happy you’ve watched and agree!

To be honest, NP/SE/Euphoria are my three favorite shows right now.

I have to agree, Nate and the plotline involving him and Jules is… mishandled at best. However, every other character feel so real. Their struggles are what some of my friends went or are going through. They just feel so real while Sex Education’s characters are just edgy clichés to me.

I see. Though Fezco and Ashtray also don`t feel real.

I feel like it’s difficult to compare because I watch Sex Education when I want to be cheered up, and Euphoria when I want to watch something great. I think Sex Education is heightened versions of cliches, but lots of people find it relatable, and it’s one of the best Netflix originals. Euphoria is still great though

Euphoria. It’s beautifully shot, beautifully acted, it’s brutal, realistic, it’s unapologetically angsty, and it’s got some really interesting storytelling gimmicks.

I like Sex Education.  The writing isn’t as good as Euphoria’s (contrary to what a lot of people say here) and I do have an issue with it’s extremely unrealistic portrayal of English high school.

I’d argue that Euphoria is a drama while Sex Education is a comedy. They’re two really different shows.

And he often bumps it many consecutive days with the same text in response to whatever the last post is.  I must have seen “Why do you find that, Greg?” re-posted twenty times already.
