How was she the upset for John Adams when she and the show won everything?

    Rashad was the frontrunner.

He didn’t do much of anything in Season 6 though. Cunningham was the clear standout that year imo. At least in 8 he clearly was the only one still trying in the Bran the Broken scene.

Dinklage definitely didn’t deserve it for 5 and 7 though. 5 was a clear makeup for his loss for 4, but him beating Matt Smith in 2018 is just inexcusable.

Jonathan Banks need that win so badly when he won for S5.

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor

Laura Linney having four Emmys and all four of them she was the upset.

I love Ms Linney but her beating Lizzie Moss and Jessica Lange in 2013 was just inexcusable.

According to? She couldn’t even win the Gold Derby award.

Kathy Bates winning over her for Coven was a (bad) choice.

Mariska winning in 2006 for a classic made for Emmys baity episode over Frances stunning work in final season was a really bad choice

Coming for another upset with Ozark’s final season. Manifesting.

I’m glad to see a lot of respect on here for Sarah Michelle Gellar and Buffy as a series. Sarah should have the drama actress record for most wins. I think that Buffy (and Angel) have the most criminally underrated guest stars. There are some incredible, charismatic and brilliant performances by one episode guests on those shows. The ensembles are fantastic too obviously.

David Boreanaz hasn’t been off of television for a single year since 1997. He’s got multiple hit shows under his belt as the lead, yet he has never received awards attention. I’ve not seen Bones or SEAL Team but he was incredible episodes in Angel where he definitely deserved Emmy nominations. I imagine the answer is yes but did Buffy and Angel definitely submit?

Connie Britton is a TV legend at this point and changes hit shows more often that most people change their underwear and she still hasn’t won an Emmy. That said, she’s got 4 deserved nominations.

Three lead nominations in as many years for three different shows.

That’s completely unprecedented and not sure if we’ll ever see anything like it again.

I think we don’t talk about her enough, but Elizabeth Perkins really deserved at least one for Weeds. She was great (Mary-Louise Parker too, but at least she has an Emmy already).

Kristen Wiig and Rachel Griffiths also come to mind.
