Wow this was a tough watch, I felt like crying in every single episode, and the show did not shy away of the horrors of those inmigration centers, Yvonne Strahovski was sublime! What a performance, Blanchett is barely in it but the things she does with her limited screentime are marvelous too! But it is indeed nice to see her step aside and let other performers shine, but wow Faysaal Bazzi really broke my heart with what he did, truly remarcable. Overall I’d say this is a great exposition of the cruelty that illegal inmigrants face and it is really well made! Could have been better directed but still was a great show, tough to sit through but worth it

Finished this last night. What a fantastic show. A really important show. And the detainees in the center are played by actual refugees who have gone through the process of legalizing. This must’ve been such a special project for all to work on.

Yvonne is fantastic. Fayssal Bazzi is…simply immaculate. Truly fell in love with him, watching his work. I hope he wins next year. I don’t see the other leads getting a lot of love online but they were excellent too. Superb cast, really good writing and directing… The show prompts important conversations… 10/10.

Between this, I May Destroy You, Mrs America, Unorthodox, and Unbelievable, I am so overwhelmed. TV rn >>>

If Blanchett loses this year expect the Emmys to give her a makeup nom and possibly win for her supporting role in this LMAO. Even if the show misses elsewhere.

With Strahovski and Michaela Coel already and Kidman on her way I am looking forward to next year’s Emmys.
