okay, I haven’t read a lot about this show, but for some reason I thought it will be a little bit like Galaxy Quest?
I was obviously wrong.May 5, 2020 at 8:22 am #1203464390
The trailer of Hollywood was great and turned out to be one of the worst things I have ever seen in television. It is nice to see that Netflix not even tried to fool us with a good Space Force trailer!May 5, 2020 at 8:28 am #1203464410
I’m in the minority on this one I guess becuase I’m still very psyched for it lol.May 5, 2020 at 8:33 am #1203464420
Yeah, I didn’t think it looked bad at all. I’m still excited.May 5, 2020 at 8:33 am #1203464424
That Space Force trailer looks all right. Not great, but at least it didn’t turn me away from the show. I chuckled a little at the Kokomo bit.May 5, 2020 at 8:38 am #1203464432
Netflix has gotten VERY good at cutting trailers. The Politician, Hollywood, Russian Doll, Maniac, and Stranger Things all had AWESOME trailers, and those shows obviously ran the full gamut of quality, but based on just those trailers they all look like A+ material.
If Netflix couldn’t work their magic for even two and a half minutes with this one… yikes I’m worried.May 5, 2020 at 8:50 am #1203464484
Are we looking at it too critically though? I’m doing my usual reddit/twitter morning routine and it seems like people are liking it.May 5, 2020 at 9:01 am #1203464524
That Space Force trailer is giving me hard ‘The Brink’ vibes. Anyone remember that show? I actually quite liked it but I must be the only one because it got cancelled after a season lol.May 5, 2020 at 9:31 am #1203464640
I’ll give space force ar the very least a watch but that trailer is not good and this is coming from someone who is easily impressed by trailers. Carell was doing an accent and it was grating on me, yeah it was annoying.May 5, 2020 at 9:34 am #1203464652
Steve Carell is never not going to be Michael Scott to me.May 5, 2020 at 9:43 am #1203464679
I have been so psyched for Space Force, but I cannot recall a time where a comedy series posted such a flat, lifeless, and ultimately unfunny trailer. I can’t imagine even watching one episode. WTF happened???May 5, 2020 at 9:44 am #1203464681
The creator and star of one of the most iconic sitcoms of all time reuniting… to do some lame trump jokes that we’re dated a year and a half ago? I’ll keep my eyes out because the pedigree in front and behind the camera is really strong, but this show always seemed meh.

Biggest issue with this is that they’re SO obviously trying to capitalize off The Office’s massive popularity. I could be wrong when we see more, but this Carell character seems like Michael Scott 2.0, and I’m almost sure that was intentional.
Also, just realized that the woman who starts talking at about 1:07 is a dead ringer, voice and looks, for AOC. I knew this show was going to be political, but I didn’t know they were REALLY going to go that far with it. I’m all for politically relevant shows, but this feels like a step too far. Not a good look.
