I think Ratched is Ryan’s biggest show in years.

    For such a mess of a show…

When was the last time Ryan Murphy’s projects were actually executed well… I’m tired.

Pose & American Crime Story but those are both projects that are brainchilds of other people that he helped to create.

Other than those the last true Murphy project that’s exceptionally executed was AHS Cult.

Yeah Ratched’s viewership shouldn’t be underestimated. I’m in the UK and Hollywood wasn’t ever in the top 10 and The Politician s1 debuted at 3 and then dropped out of the top 10 the following week.

Ratched debuted at 1 and is second this week only because of Enola Holmes.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

Yeah if you go on IMDB, a lot of the actors star meters from the show are pretty high which usually happens after a popular film or in this case, series, is released.

So I found a list of the production start and end dates of shows pre Covid. Considering how shows like Pieces of Her and Sex Education have started filming but have added on an extra month due to Covid then for shows with preliminary dates set for a return to production this means that their production schedules could go like this (if we were to add one month on to their original pre Covid production schedule) if all goes well.

Those which seem like they are in danger of not returning regardless of another lockdown are in bold.

If The Crown doesn’t win for S4 then it will never win.

Wait, what?! I have a hard time believing this. Ozark was in the top 10 for a while, and I heard about it literally everywhere. Isn’t Ratched flopping? I’ve seen nobody talking about it online.

After almost ten years American Horror Story is still FX’s most watched show, so there’s nothing surprising about Ratched achieving something similar.

    4. McKenna Grace, The Handmaid’s Tale (+1)

If she’s indeed guest-eligible, this will be my main push here. I have been stunned by her work for years now, and it’s time she’s recognized. The role sounds juicy, and I have no doubt that she’s up for the task.

Movie (all of Small Axe apart from Mangrove are ineligible here) 3. American Utopia (HBO) (+1)

Pardon my ignorance, but isn’t it just bunch of actors and David Byrne singing Byrne’s songs? Does it have some sort of storyline?

I believe it has some sort of narrative but I just put it in because I thought HBO’s push for it as a “Limited Film event” might signify they may push for it here although I said in a previous post the eligibility of this and Hamilton seems to be up in the air as I don’t believe there are specific rules preventing them from competing here.

Maybe they go in Variety Special (Recorded)? In that case Spike Lee is in with a shout to get Variety Special Directing.

If this and Hamilton are ineligible watch how Dolly Parton gets back in lol.
