Genuinely shocked Jason Bateman is an EP on this and Adrian Lyne isn’t. It just feels like it’s would’ve been a Lyne film 20 years ago.

Bateman is an EP on this?? Lol this is getting nominated at the Emmys for something.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

I guess in trollmania you have low levels of literacy.

The reason I posted it here (as explicitly stated in post) is I found it interesting a new British cable show managed to go to 78 on IMDB despite only airing in Europe and Australia at the moment. What I was suggesting was that the show has a lot of international buzz.

Anyway let’s end the discussion here.

Everyone is aware that you are a dumb ass, and that is why you are always replying to your own posts about bullshit

Hot take : Shira Haas will get snubbed here à la Jharrel Jerome.

While I still can’t fathom how Jerome was snubbed, Haas is clearly the lead of her project which was not the case with  Jerome.

Curb Your Enthusiasm wasn’t nominated for its previous season. Now with even less buzz it’s definitely not going to be nominated.

Giri Haji wasn’t renewed for a 2nd season, guess it’s going the Seven Seconds/Watchmen route now

I’ve just binged this show recently and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful blend of drama and comedy. That finale moved me to tears, which is rare for a TV show. So refreshing, stylish and surprisingly emotional. I can’t tell if I’m disappointed it’s been cancelled as it is perfect on its own.

I am a little confused however? Why was this show shut out by the Emmys? Isn’t it available on Netflix everywhere? Any chance of a resurgence at the Golden Globes especially now it’s been cancelled? I’d personally nominate at least 4 of the actors to begin…

    FYC:

Antonio Banderas and Asier Etxeandia, Dolor y Gloria (Best Actor/Supporting Actor)
Emily Beecham, Little Joe (Best Actress)
Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren, The Good Liar (Best Actor/Actress)

I’m quite shocked by Giri/Haji‘s cancellation considering how well it did both in critical acclaim and at the BAFTAs.

After the second season of PEN15, with its amazing reviews, is there any chance for it at the GGs?
