The only issue is that they haven’t awarded a supporting actor/actress from the show but that can easily change.

I agree. Funnily enough I can see a way The Crown season 4 sweeps like Glee season 2 and wins Series, S. Actress and S. Actor.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

As a pesimist, I’m already seeing Annie Murphy snubbed everywhere except Critic’s Choice because they already have half the nominees figured out even without voting, since they only care about being sure they got everyone in from previous and future awards shows.

I’m pretty sure she’s making SAG

I’m someone who was notoriously pessimistic about her Emmy chances but I’m pretty sure Murphy is taking the vacant Borstein spot everywhere. I mean I think she probably would have gotten in anyhow because she won the Emmy but it’s impossible she misses now Maisel is not making SAG eligibility.

On a separate note out of interest why the confidence in P-Valley? It’s not like Starz had done well recently here outside Outlander.

Not necessarily saying it’s getting in but it’s interesting how Netflix have decided for the promo of Ratched to go business as usual and have socially distanced promo/press videos on YouTube instead of doing a Zoom one with a blurred out background like WB did with Tenet or Netflix did with Enola Holmes.

I’m not so sure. Don’t forget these are the same people who snubbed incumbent Emmy winner Jharrel Jerome last year.

I would say she is quite likely though.

When They See Us is a full American show about race issues.

Unorthodox is an European production about a subject more closely linked to a group formed by international voters.

This is the same group who nominated European productions like “The White Queen”, “Flesh and Bone”, “The Missing” or “The Dresser” or gave surprising wins to other productions like “The Night Manager”, “The Wolf Hall”, “The Honourable Woman” or “Top of the Lake”.

Comparing “When They See Us” to “Unorthodox” when their only points in common are Limited productions by Netflix is like comparing apples and oranges cause those are fruits. lol.

My point was that Shira Haas may suffer from not being as well known a name as her competitors next year (which Jharrel definitely suffered).

It would be nice if you weren’t so flippant.

I’m calling it now Diana Rigg is continuing the trend of a Limited Series actress winning Supporting Actress here.

That would be on moot if only Jharrel was snubbed, but the full show has been snubbed.

And not being a well known name has been a full obstacle there if the show is beloved. Case point: Rebecca Ferguson for “The White Queen” or Sarah Hay for “Flesh and Bone”.

To be fair though these were in different times with different competition. I mean one could argue that you are comparing apples and oranges here because Ferguson and Hay both got nominated before we had tonnes of flashy Limited Series a year and before we had lots of A list led Limited Series or People vs O.J. Simpson format copy cats. I mean a field where Helena Bonham Carter got in for a TV Movie that didn’t do that great at the Emmys or where Charlotte Rampling got name-checked for a British import is not comparable with a field of HFPA bait Limited Series starring A listers like Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Kerry Washington, Cynthia Erivo etc that are likelier to make a splash across the board at the Globes.

I’m not saying Shira isn’t getting in (I’m predicting her) but I don’t think she’s a lock either (even though she should be).
