Would The Good Place be eligible as it will air 5 episodes in 2020?

Probably not, in order to be series eligible a comedy or drama season must consistent of 150 mins, the average TGP episode is 22mins and with the five episodes aired in 2020 it would fall 40 minutes short.

Yay! Forgot about this. Not sure why they needed to reboot something instead of tweaking it to be something new, but looks great.

Perry Mason looks fantastic, but HBO really needs to make up their minds about whether their shows will be limited or ongoing when they premiere. Big Little Lies, Watchmen, The Outsider, and now this has just been giving me whiplash.

Anyway, for my Globes predictions, should I put Maslany in lead or supporting?

Winner predictions. Mostly just predicting from shows that have already premiered or have already completed filming. Because of the nature of network schedules, I feel hopeful that The Mayor could make it as well.

I’m still deciding if Schitt’s will be nominated (likely depends on how many contenders we end up with at the end of the year), but based on its previous zero nominations here and with the fact that the Globes almost never pick up comedies this late into their run, along with its very early premiere date and the Globes’ severe recency bias, I don’t feel hopeful about their nomination chances. And I doubt it will win anything even if it is nominated.

    DRAMA SERIES: The Crown
    COMEDY SERIES: The Mayor
    LIMITED SERIES: Mrs. America
DRAMA ACTRESS: Sarah Paulson in Ratched

DRAMA ACTOR: Matthew Rhys in Perry Mason
COMEDY ACTOR: Ted Danson in The Mayor
LIMITED ACTOR: Mark Ruffalo in I Know This Much Is True
SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Gillian Anderson in The Crown
SUPPORTING ACTOR: Donald Sutherland in The Undoing

ACTOR IN DRAMA SERIES Ethan Hawke, The Good Lord Bird (Showtime)

Isn’t this a limited series? HBO also cited Perry Mason as a drama series in its trailer but of course that can change. I’m not sure about Lovecraft’s Country category placement either.
