Based on the  dip in quality of the first 4 episodes of The Good Place this season it’s likely to get dropped if it doesn’t improve.

I don’t think it is since it starts shooting in January.

Reviews are coming for Paul Rudd’s Living With Yourself and they are all praising his performance.

Last year it was “The Haunting of Hill House” that came out of nowhere and became my favorite show of the year. Now it’s “Unbelievable.” And I swear to God if Netflix pushes it as little as they pushed Hill House. I swear.

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

I worry it’s going to suffer a similar fate and be shut out by the winter awards so Netflix don’t push it.

(Although realistically they’ll probably push it regardless because of Wever and Collette and a more Emmy friendly genre)

Denis O’Hare was in 4 episodes of Big Little Lies, he is not eligible in guest. Holly Hunter isn’t eligible aswell.

These predictions kind of show that you haven’t actually watched like half of these shows (which is totally fine!!). Alexis Bledel at the very least is getting in before those Handmaid’s gals you mentioned; she’s been nominated twice, has won once before and had heartbreaking material. I mean, you chose those that literally had zero to do. Plus, as far as I can remember, Crystal Fox was in 6 of BLL’s 7 episodes – Becky Ann Baker will be their submission, if at all. Cicely Tyson has gotten in for 4 of Murder’s past seasons, so why shouldn’t she get in next year, especially with this being the final season? And The Crown has gotten one guest nod so far, so I don’t see it all of a sudden getting two actors in. Watch O.T. Fangable and/or Max Minghella take a slot.

I worry it’s going to suffer a similar fate and be shut out by the winter awards so Netflix don’t push it. (Although realistically they’ll probably push it regardless because of Wever and Collette and a more Emmy friendly genre)

The difference is that, as you say, its subject matter is much more in the industry’s wheelhouse. I’ve seen so many celebs praise this show on Twitter (Ik that doesn’t matter, but still), which people weren’t doing about Hill House. And yes, the star power of Collette and Wever should get it somewhere. If it doesn’t, I swear…

I’m going back-and-forth between PWB for SNL and Maya Rudolph for The Good Place in Comedy Guest Actress. Waller-Bridge is the “it girl” of the moment and her reputation in the entertainment industry keeps building and building every day (she also has the performance to go with it), while Maya Rudolph is arguably overdue for an Emmy.

He might just get in if he keeps this up. I’m not even kidding. What an excellent addition to SNL. It’s his first season and he’s already in the top 3 of the funniest people on the show.
