I don’t think that Kerry Washington will be nominated for American Son. This is similar to Benedict Cumberbatch in 2018; nobody cared for him in The Child in Time as he was also starring in Patrick Melrose.

The Outsider officially enters the race. The cast is promising. Jason Bateman is also a director.

I agree. But I also think that if her performance is well received in American Son then it could help her win for Little Fires Everywhere (assuming she/it is acclaimed and she goes Supporting)

She should have been nominated for season 4’s “Run.” But that award rightfully went to Viola anyway 🙂

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

A Kerrysance is coming and she’s coming to snatch everyone’s wigs.

Jennifer Aniston was on Jimmy Kimmel yesterday and they’ve shown a new clip of The Morning Show and she looked great in the clip!

I don’t know a whole lot about American Son, but I do know that Washington didn’t get a Tony nomination for it, so while she may get Emmy nominated, I’m not predicting her to win.

Washington isn’t going to get any traction for that movie lol. Her best bet will be Little Fires Everywhere.

I just finished The Righteous Gemstones, and I have to say it was fucking phenomenal. I was so pleasantly surprised by not only the hilarity, but also the great depth of character and heart at work. I don’t know if it could end up a player in the race or not, but I think it would definitely deserve consideration for these categories:
    -Comedy Series
    -Lead Actor: Danny McBride
    -Supporting Actor: Walton Goggins
    -Supporting Actor: John Goodman
    -Supporting Actress: Cassidy Freeman
    -Supporting Actress: Edi Patterson
    -Guest Actor: Dermot Mulroney
    -Guest Actress: Mary Hollis Inboden
    -Guest Actress: Jennifer Nettles
    -Directing
    -Writing
I’d even support wins for Goggins, Patterson, and Nettles.
The show could have easily been a one-and-done, but I am definitely looking forward to spending time in the surprisingly affecting world McBride and Co. have built and where they decide to take it in season 2. Definitely did not expect to like it this much.
Here’s hoping it can catch on and surprise, I guess.

I haven’t seen it yet, but it does seem to be pretty popular and very well liked by those who have seen it despite just pretty good reviews. I could see it surprising, probably not in comedy series, but somewhere.

I just found out that Damien Chazelle has a Netflix show called The Eddy in the works with André Holland, Joanna Kulig, and Amandla Stenberg following the owner of a music club in Paris.

I’m not sure if this will release in time, but it could be a major player. I would love to see Joanna Kulig get Emmy recognition.

FYC: Mary Kay Place in Diane
