A show under siege because of the firing of showrunner Andrew Kreisberg over a pattern of sexual harassment Warner Brothers TV, Supergirl’s studio shingle, seemed to look the other way at until it simply could not do so anymore. They have gone above a 0.5 Nielsen total viewer rating just twice in 11 months, and are down 25% from season 2’s creative mess, though for the most part, they’ve righted the ship in that area. Now a 2-month forced hiatus beckons, its season finale airing AFTER May sweeps ends. Supergirl’s future is very much the definition of “on-the-bubble”.

Episode 3.13: Both Sides Now (winter finale)

The DEO captures a second world-killer as Supergirl and Alex use very different means to question her. However, she escapes and attacks the city’s subway system. Racing against time, J’onn, Winn and Mon-El band together to fix the Legion ship.

After a 9-week hiatus, and a frankly surprising season 4 re-up, Kara and company are back….

Episode 3.14: Schott Through the Heart
    Guest star: Laurie Metcalf

Bad news for Winn; his father passes away. Worse news; his estranged mother reemerges, trying to reconnect and explain why she abandoned him all those years ago. Winn is too embittered to forgive her, but when a copycat Toyman attacks National City, the two must work together to stop him. Mon-El shares big-time intel with Kara about the WorldKillers as Alex becomes suspicious of Myr’nn’s recent behavior.
