Also, I whole heartedly agree that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Gwendolyn Christie bring out the best in each other, just like their characters do. They had some of the greatest chemistry on the show, with genuine sparks flying between them in their scenes. I’m not ashamed to admit I’m a full blown Jaime and Brienne shipper. Which is why I was so disgusted when Jaime deserted a woman that he shared a mutual love with in order to die a pointless death with his abusive sister. It really says something about the writing when a pretty big number of fans thought Jaime was secretly planning to kill Cersei just because him deserting an emotionally distraught Brienne to be with Cersei seemed so out of character.

Logically though, it had only been a few episodes. They’d just very effectively absorbed viewers into the chemistry/net of it all. The emotional reaction to that trumped Missandei’s beheading and possibly even Jon stabbing Dany. My local (online) newspaper had a story dissecting that Jaime/Brienne scene topping the most read WEEKS after the finale (sorry Trump, Jaime Lannister riding away on a horse is FAR more important).

I don’t care about screentime and tape. Actress is a mess. Lena and only Lena must win. Fiona Shaw’s double noms are worrisome but her succeeding Newton will be laughable.

I see you, what you doing here?

Lena should’ve won for seasons 5 and 6 (maybe even season 2), but she’s not worthy for season 8. I certainly wouldn’t mind a win since she’s been robbed before, but if we’re judging based solely on this year, I wouldn’t even nominate her.

Don’t forget Season 4. Girlfriend’s been robbed well over three times but Maggie Smith winning over her for Season 6 was embarrassing for Emmy Voters.

Lena was amazing in “The Lion and the Rose”, but no way she was better than Ann Gunn in “Ozymandias”.

Yeah, Lena would’ve been deserving for season 4, but Anna Gunn was clearly the right winner.

Lena should have been nominated and won for Season 2. The Battle of Blackwater performance was one of the best I’ve EVER seen.
